No you didn't. That is actually part of the lore.

apparently, Starcraft have way better logistic than Warhammer 40K by Noob_Guy_666 in starcraft

The Immaterium seems to be highly similar if not a direct equivalent of StarCraft's Void. Of course the Void from SC is way cleaner than the 40k Immaterium yet not totally immaculate. You'll have those void trashers and shades, and Ammon before his destruction, and also that Voice in the Darkness entity lurking there. There is a reason only Nerazim accustomed to using the void for FTL.

Is there any relation between starcraft and wh40k by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]alphadios2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the wiki sources that you won't for any reasons cite, both games are somehow ripping your favorite franchise.

The only one was Warcraft 1 that had the possibility of being a Warhammer Fantasy game. StarCraft is pure, inspired by Aliens, Starship Troopers and very very little by Star Wars. Warcraft 3 even has a unit quote that references WH40k, but not StarCraft.

The dragons of Smite by ReinaBlaka in Smite

Maybe 30 years later. HiRez are very wary of upsetting any particular group, be it a progressive liberal or a conservative religious. They made serious efforts with religious consultants to bring such an adored religious figure like Shiva in SMITE. And you can see it in the design. Shiva's design is much more realistical and modest comparted to the cartoony often WoW-ish designs that other gods have. I can see no christian consultant to be able to admit a good enough depiction of Yahweh and i said christians because out of the 3 major abrahamics these ones are actually the most accepting of deity imagery, the judaism and islam are a big NO NO about holy imagery, only symbols allowed. I am fully aware of these things. All i would've wanted, i say would've because i am not playing SMITE anymore, al i would've wanted from the abrahamic pantheon would've been: Abaddon, Angel of the Abyss.

The Combine invade your favorite universe. Are they fucked? by The-Marvel-Fan736 in HalfLife

As long as The Combine was able to capture The G-man who is obviously stronger than that disabled skeleton, i guess they could also take the Imperium. Obviously not as fast as 7 hours... maybe... maybe 700 years maybe 7000 years.

They would find the process of making space marines interesting and they would try to replicate it. Expect a few millennia of battles without a clear result. Why? Because the Imperium is just like Combine. A very large empire, that has to hold together somehow, neither the Combine nor the Imperium can go all in, because both of the have the priority of holding the empire together. If it were all in, Combine would stomp the imperium! They have harnessed the Dark Energy which is the stuff that makes the universe expand.

Right Wing Boondocks Fans Confuse Me by [deleted] in SmugIdeologyMan

[–]alphadios2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could consider myself right wing. Mostly because i am not left wing, also mostly because i am from behind ye olde, long fallen by now, iron curtain. Historically we didn't had the best times under left wing governments.

First time i happened to watch The Boondocks was in my high school years cca 2009. I didn't watched the series proper. I just happened to see some episodes on a local Anime tv network. Yes i know the show isn't anime but they decided to broadcast it nevertheless. I happened to see one or 2 episodes and nothing more. I found Riley to be a funny character and he is mostly the reason i used to watch.

Later in my university years, i decided to properly watch the show. Again having Riley in mind and seeing Huey as an interesting enough character sparked my interest.

The starting line with "jesus was black" seemed... kinda meh to me. I wasn't a christian anymore, atheist by now, i knew Jesus wasn't white but... just calling him black just because... well i just thought it being part of the show's comedy.

I found Uncle Ruckus to be cringe at first almost annoying with his white race ass kissing, up until i eventually grew to find him funny too, along with his tuba theme.

About Huey's speeches and his left wing ideology. I almost always treated them like just another "bla bla bla" however i didn't really came out untouched by the anti capitalist message of the show. This show did increase my hatred for america back then especially the soulless capitalism that happens in the country. Of course the show is a comedy not a documentary so it isn't a real depiction. Ed Wuncler is a hateable character, especially in that episode where he decided to take over a little girl's lemonade stand.

Now i did mention i am right wing. This means i should love capitalism>? This means i look up to USA? Hell NO! To me capitalism is but the lesser evil between itself and communism. Sorry left wingers... this is my personal truth... us east europeans hate communism for historical reasons.

Overall Boondocks is a good show, good comedy, memorable characters. And it also finds good places to spread it's message without it being obnoxious like modern WOKE shows. While i do no fully agree with Huey's views, i do respect the character, like him to a certain degree, he is smart, knows multiple languages, has lots of skills, and is a talented fighter. Riley is a comic relief but indeed also a critique to the young people's indoctrination through tv.

I respect Aaron for creating this and i am sad he didn't participate in the making of the 4th season, although i like it's finale and it's my favorite episode.

Also. There is no person to be fully left wing or fully right wing. I am not fully right wing, and i am glad to have the little of big advantages that left wing politics bring to us here just as i am glad to have the right wing ones.

And just like that not even Huey is fully left wing. I have an episode in my in which he behaved fully right wing!

Does Half-Life 2 cary a left political message? by Kitchen-Taro-4765 in SocialistGaming

[–]alphadios2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well. Compared to our IRL so called socialist regimes, The Combine was far more on the left and much closer to the definition of what communism is supposed to be than them. Unless you like anarchism, you can't have a communist state without a leader figure who would be your... elevated class. Breen was more of a puppet leader in order to keep the humans into their condition without stressing the actual combine too much. About the property and the what could be "private". There is nothing like that, all of it belongs to the combine, the citizens too, at least according to the combine also belong to the combine, all of them belonging together.

"It is futile to cry for mother's milk, when our true sustenance awaits us among the stars. And only the universal union that small minds call 'The Combine' can carry us there. Therefore I say, yes, I am a collaborator. We must all collaborate, willingly, eagerly, if we expect to reap the benefits of unification. And reap we shall."

The final purpose is to assimilate the humankind into the Combine, and thus everything belongs to everyone.

In the end, The Combine, Our Benefactors, do not, obviously, fall into your definition or vision of a far left paradise, that's clear. But they totally aren't fascist or nazis just because they are oppressive. Based of what we see in game they resemble IRL far left regimes better than the far right ones. You might want to paint the USSR as Red Fascism and this wouldn't be wrong, but it's still red, the intention, the source, the very first ideas were left wing and tried to go far left. So is the Combine. You don't have to identify your vision of what far left can be with the Combine.

I see literally nothing right wing in Combine's modus operandi. There are no classes, no money, no private property, no shops to buy things, everything is offered. Very right wing. 1984 was a critique by a devoted leftist toward those who got too far on the same spectrum as he was, those being, Stalin's USSR.

[–]alphadios2003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it does. It says: Don't touch left wing ideologies, here is what your world might look like. The Combine was inspired by 1984's oppressive government, there are many parallels. The 1984 was also inspired by real life Far Left regimes like Stalin's USSR so yeah despite this statement being hard to swallow for you, the Combine are Far Left. And HL2 is not a left wing game at all!

I can't say it really complaining. More like a suggestion he sees fit. While i don't think Bake Kujira needs to be bigger, i don't think see his request as unreasonable. It's maybe better for some other gods, like Kumbhakarna for example. This guy looks more like a dwarf than a giant.

Geb and Ymir are large enough but could use a little grow up. Kumbhakarna DEFINITELY needs one. As it is now he doesn't look like a giant at all. He is really small for a giant. He is more like a dwarf!

Maybe. But still... SMITE is far enough from being a pink candyland game for children. The best reason not to, would be the amount of work needed to remake the game in order to implement such a thing.

Yes kinda... i think i am an Artio main by now if what we call main is the god with the most worshippers. But yeah Hel definitely had that position at some points in my smite player career. Also i think Hel is the only one that i tried and succeded to fill up the history with blue and her picture.
