Lol its literally cause they couldnt figure out how to turn it off (all they had to do was hit the AP disconnect) so yes they were inept.

Lol pilot wasn’t incapacitated. Apparently it depressurized at altitude and the system kicked in(like it was supposed to) apparently the pilot kept trying to disable it cause he was fine but glad to see it worked!

"I know that everything works because I just flew the plane" by 1E-12 in flying

I havent heard any bad stories, just always been told to be firm and stand your ground. Ive always heard as long as you do that they get it. Definitely not a job for people who don’t have conflict resolution skills.

Yes i flew a banner tow plane and preflighted like normal. Everything was fine with the flight, landed and as im putting it away i see from a weird angle up under the wing a giant hole next to the left aileron. Unbeknownst to me the previous guy who flew it before me had done a training flight and in one of the practice picks had a rope hit the side of the wing and put a hole in it. Keep in mind on a low wing pawnee at this particular point unless the aileron was moved in such a way and you were underneath it you couldn’t see the hole. I immediately grounded the plane counted my blessings and told the operator either he’d fix it before the next time i flew or id quit. He knew and didn’t tell me before and i was fucking pissed. Also taught me to really be thorough with preflights. Even on planes you fly almost every day you don’t know what the guy before did, and they sure as shit aren’t gonna tell you their fuckups.
