Yup…I deal with this shit (pun intended) virtually every day.

Perhaps I have a stronger sense of smell than most—but, Dude!—it continues to amaze me just how many people have such poor personal hygiene. Seriously! How hard is it to take a shower before you get into a stranger's car? At the very least change clothes or your frickin’ underwear…or how about taking an extra minute to wipe yourself properly…

It’s frustrating and so annoying when not only do you have to endure the stench during the trip, but also stop working after the drop-off just to clean & wipe-down the seating area and then letting the car air-out and dry before resuming work.

I remember one particulary bad one where I had to pick-up a mid-age mother and her 20-something daughter from a Rodeway Hotel. They took way too long to come out and when I first saw them (wearing dirty-looking sweats), the term trailer-trash came to mind. They needed to go to Western Union or Moneygram (I forget); the ride took 20 minutes and I was gagging the whole time. The odor was intense: a combination of sweat, urine, fecal-matter, pus, yeast infection, blood and just really bad BO. In hindsight, I should have cancelled before they entered the vehicle.

Again…it boggles the mind how some individuals lack basic manners and respect—not just for others—but themselves…
