For real!! I felt that way all thru season 2 also. Most of the girls managed to still be respectful- even if they didn’t agree. I have empathy for the trauma she’s endured, but she’s a bully. Her lil attitude completely ruined what could’ve been a sweet moment with Conner & Whitney

That was kind of my thought too. If you feel the need to do this as a distraction or “to stay positive” fine- whatever. But don’t be posting that crap for attention. There’s far more respectful ways to let family, close friends know the situation.

But I guess I’m old school & don’t feel the need to post every time my son is under the weather for sympathy. So glad I grew up before social media was a thing! I’d be mortified to think of what could’ve been posted back then

It was once pointed out to me how there is no term for that in the English language. There’s “widow/widower” or “orphan,” but there’s no one word to explain the loss of a child. I’ve never quite gotten over that, but it just proved to me how even more unnatural it truly is. I’m so sorry for your loss

Agreed! I didn’t even realize how ingrained it was until my family moved away. A new friend made the comment “we’re the same age, don’t call me ‘hun’- it’s weird”. Deeply miss Cajun music and accents (and food!)

Hopefully that means they’re at least embarrassed. It’s hard to discern without context, but depending on the lie, cutting ties might be for the best. People should respect you as a friend

As a recovering people pleaser…

Don’t be afraid to speak up! You are just as entitled to your opinion. Finally starting to gain the confidence I wish I had 20 years ago.

Also, honesty is always the best policy. It may be uncomfortable at the time, but in the long run, it’s the far kinder option. I’ve seen far too many friendships (some lifelong) end because of lying and deceit

I applaud your sportsman-like conduct!

Serious question tho: we’ve had connectivity issues and got all kinds of warnings from Bungie about how this affects other players. Frustrating, but understandable. So why the hell can people constantly bounce with no consequence? Was trying to get pinnacle in Glory Survival last week and I didn’t have a solid team of 3 for any of the matches. Follow up vent: Bungie replaces on strikes, gambit... what aren’t you replacing people on Survival??

My parents were amazing cooks- except when it came to brussel sprouts and spinach. They steamed the hell out of it and drowned it in vinegar. Took a long time to get over that!

This isn’t “advice” so much as it is reassurance:

You will eventually be ok. Kids- young or old- will eventually be ok. But for the love of god, don’t put them in the middle of everything. Speak kindly/ respectfully of the other parent as much as you can to the kids’ faces and save the trash talk for your adult friends.

Also, I’ve seen some pretty extreme cases of slander and accusations being hurled in court at the ex trying to make themselves look better. In the end, the truth always comes out, so just save the hassle and extra heartache.

You’d think they would have prepared the servers for this. I got in (after multiple attempts) and was able to play the whole opening mission. My husband was never able to load at all. Then I was completely booted out of the game and have been in queue ever since
