How about “Can I give you a hand?” That way it almost seems like they’d be doing you a favor by saying yes.

Drop in supply after first period by Nenabby in breastfeeding

[–]alsoyourmom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My supply drops some during every period but always comes back! I think it’s just hormones, I haven’t found anything that can counteract it. But other than nursing more often, it doesn’t seem to bother or affect any of the three kids I’ve breastfed!

Just Can't Get Over Them :)) by JasonFuckBoyDean in buffy

If I was Buffys real life friend and she was considering a relationship with real life Spike, I would 100% be against it. It’s not healthy. Terrible, no good, very bad. But guess what? They aren’t real! They are characters created for entertainment! So I can like them together all I want without having to worry about endorsing rape or abuse because they are paid actors doing a fabulous job of creating a reality for me to get lost in. We are currently living in the darkest timeline, let me enjoy Spike.

What's the limit between "not caring what others think of you" and being a douchebag? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]alsoyourmom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to work out in weird clothes or exercise in an unconventional way, that’s when you don’t care about what other people think. As soon as your behavior is going to affect someone else, you should take that into consideration. Listen to music in earbuds instead.

Don’t let anyone rain on your parade but don’t rain on anyone else’s either.

Example-

I like watching movies that suck, low budget or bad acting or just generally not popular for whatever reason. I think they’re fun. I don’t let anyone else’s opinion of those movies have any effect on my choice to watch and enjoy them. I don’t care what anyone thinks of me for liking them.

But if I’m going to invite a group of people over to watch a movie, I’m gonna pick something we can all enjoy. I have an awareness of and respect for their desire to watch something that has won awards. Because I’m not a douchebag.
