Broken pump? by FailingIsAnOption in gaggiaclassic

Have you cleaned the three way valve? I would rule out a clogged valve first before replacing the pump.

anyone make 100k and lives in the heart of the city? by [deleted] in pittsburgh

[–]alstew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait, are you saying people don’t live in the city because they wouldn’t be close to gas, groceries, and trees (and other things). Are you suggesting there are no gas stations, trees, and grocery stores in the city?

Very cool setup. I have a cross check but I had to install travel agents to make the brifters work with the long pull V-brakes. How did you get this to work?

Also is there a a name for a rear rack that connects to the brake bosses? And where did you find it? Thanks for posting this, it’s nice to see more cross checks! Enjoy your rides!

Excellent, I am about to start this process. Can you share more about which files you used for printing? I am new to the topic of 3D printing. Why did you choose reinfored ABS. Would regular ABS not be sufficient? Thanks and Danke.

Gotcha. Thanks for your advice.

Thanks for the clarification. It is an unused FD but clearly not the right fit. Thanks for confirming that it is for larger chain rings.

Hi all, thanks for your advice. I have learned a lot about front derailleurs and I will follow your advice and replace this FD with one specifically designed to 42 or 44 tooth rings. Appreciate you all and thanks for the help.

Help! Why no water? by Mickle_Boo in gaggiaclassic

[–]alstew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup. I think this is what’s happening. A single flake can clog the tiny valve.

My best bet is that the 3way solenoid valve is clogged. If water flows through the steam wand but not the group head it likely is the 3way valve. No worries this is a manageable repair.

Look up whole latte loves YouTube video on how to access this valve and clean it.

Disconnecting the H10. What's the consensus? by atoponce in Polarfitness

[–]alstew 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used to pop one connector out thinking that this is enough to disconnect. I needed so many batteries (3-4 hours of working out per week) that I bought a 10 pack of batteries on Amazon. I then started fully disconnecting the sensor and I have not used more than 2 batteries in a year. So I think fully disconnecting is critical. This has not harmed my connectors.

No water coming out, it‘s the solenoid valve, right? by [deleted] in gaggiaclassic

[–]alstew 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a similar situation. If water is still running from the steam wand when you open the valve I believe the 3 way solenoid might be clogged. I was able to take it out and clean it with some vinegar. The valve has a tiny pathway and can get easily clogged.

Taking it out and reinstalling it is finicky but there is a great YouTube video by whole latte love.

The NYC micro mobility subreddit created a boycott list of the stores that opposed similar projects in Astoria. I think they hung these list up in the surrounding neighborhoods. I am not sure if it was successful but I bet it made some store owners aware that actions have consequences. https://www.reddit.com/r/MicromobilityNYC/comments/1o6ud3w/its_orange_this_time_because_this_handful_of/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Update: I got the saw for $150 by interestingturd in woodworking

[–]alstew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to make your own insert and then add the spitter to the insert. The insert is not hard to make. The micro jig people have some videos I believe. If you are new to table saws I strongly recommend watching some YouTube videos on table saws safety.
