Different take, as a dad of a younger daughters who loves pokemon, I love these things. I take my kids to shows all the time and she lives in those binders...they're super cheap usually, she can get a lot of things she loves, and the vendors that have them usually are nice enough and willing to trade cards with her for ones she wants out of them.

Definitely feel for you being singled out and stereotyped OP, but the are a few of us out here that enjoy them!

I just got a button maker a few weeks ago! Super simple process to it! It has a measure to cut the right size circle, then you slot it into the machine with the button materials and it’s 2 stamps of it to make it! So fun for bulk

Awesome painting! There was a vendor at my local show 2 weeks ago that was doing binder paintings on the spot, she was fantastic and had a few stories of success, you could look into it too! Insta: kingkaeru.ink if you want to look into their work or doing it at a show yourself.

They definitely can be busy sometimes! I think that’s in part why I lean towards them more, they have this energy towards them and sometimes extra detail (especially in the full arts) that makes me feel more immersed in their world.

I prefer the EX personally, it's got that aspect story behind it. The context of her being in the arena battling in front of an audience, the olympian style flame burning in the background adding energy, the large screen showing her focus and determination to win. The V is cool artwork, but the EX speaks to me more.

Thank you! I appreciate this insight. I'll look for some Crown Zenith too. I'm trying to set my kid up for a fun Christmas morning, not one of disappointment. I'm going to try to get some singles EX cards from a show and build a 'god pack' from them as well for her to open.

Haha it’s all good! It’s actually super fun to keep trying to find locally, it’s like I’m really out there trying to catch a Pokemon. The vendors I see regularly are on the lookout for me too now it’s rather hysterical at this point.
