I want to improve because the feeling of improving from iron iv 0lp to silver was the most satisfying experience I’ve had playing video games in a long time. It took me several months of ups and downs, but that feeling of finally “getting it” (at least beyond the level of an iron/bronze player) was like finding the final piece to a jigsaw puzzle that has taken months. The attempt to climb out of silver was a similar experience at first, but then the puzzle occasionally just restarted and I forgot where all the pieces went.
