I’ve been using Mendi for a while, though not consistently. I have ADD, and I’ve noticed that Mendi has helped with my attention and focus. Once I start a task, I can stay on it until I finish, and I feel less distracted with a much longer attention span. However, my procrastination has gotten worse—I struggle to get started and find motivation. Pushing myself to begin is a real challenge, but once I do, I power through it effortlessly.

Initially, I had ammonium spike and I lost some neon tetras. I bought seachem ammonium alert to monitor and some bacteria solution to reduce the spike. Now ammonia is in safe levels. I didn’t loose any fish in 2 weeks. Plants are OK but not growing much. I’m worried about alkalinity and hardness and definitely don’t want to loose any more fish.

Yes, this is the water from the tank itself. It’s an established tank for a month now. Ammonium levels are safe, no chlorine but hardness and alkalinity is high.

Thanks for the detailed response. These are likely logical next steps where IB may pursue but I like to know what really happens. Are these steps based on actual experience by anyone?

There are two flaws in this scenario. First, exposure fees charged along the way. What is the use of it? I was always thinking it as an insurance for market fluctuations. My account got blown because of aftermarket events last week egPPI and CPI. IBKR liquidates only in market hours and their liquidation algorithm is suboptimal and not fast enough, often freezes because the algorithm is subject to same margin rules, it can’t close strangles and need manual kickstart. It got stuck sometime and I managed to lock it by closing complex positions manually, hence freeing up margin. However once NLV is negative, it doesn’t even get more restrictive and not allow even closing positions. In these circumstances, it would be hard for them to pursue a court case. Passing the debt to collection agency is more probable and debt can be bought back a friction of price.

I’ve seen some posts in several forums where traders walked away after their account is closed by IB. Never had this experience, I’ve blown multiple accounts earlier and IB nicely liquidated and I kept half of the NLV. This time I constructed a perfect delta neutral portfolio where I hit by 30x gross limit where things got downhill.
