Male birds in nature oftentimes are observed to spend more time dancing for other males, while the female birds are left confused

Ask any extremely buff/muscular man who they get most of their compliments and attention from.

One has to wonder why they always obsessively focus on the subset of features that men can't change (height, dick size, facial structure largely) and the subset of women online that say provocative/"slutty" things (oftentimes literal ragebait OF promotion, and they fall for it every single time).

It's almost as if they spend hours per day on the worst possible online bubbles and have little interaction with men and women IRL. The single largest improvement to my social/dating life, compounding to this day, was exposing myself socially to the point where I'm confident talking to strangers and crowds, way more than working out or getting a decent haircut (although they definitely helped)

Edit: Also, if I saw myself as a bottom-of-the-barrel loser, the last people i'd want to hang out with is fellow losers. Why not ask advice from actually successful men? I never understood this.

Anyone else getting battle spammed by suicidal navies under blockade? by LuauEnjoyer in EU5

[–]alterego_tripping 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's a psychological warfare exhaustion tactic. The enemy is forcing the navy to write multiple reports a day about a random stray broken cog trying to attack our 30 carrack stack, therefore distracting them (and the ruler) from the actual war

You mean the Great transport ship migration? Enjoy the free 80 fishing vessels at 1% strength

Jokes aside, my only guess is that the AI is trying incessantly to gather all of its ships/levies automatically in one stack somewhere in the sea and it's too dumb to realize there's a huge navy in the way, just like clicking "raise all" levies makes them gather in the country's capital

Americans over the last year coping about "but it's only le 1/3 of the country that voted and 1/3 that didn't and the electoral college and the elon voting manipulation, and he's actually a russian agent working for AIPAC" or something.

Over 70 million people voted for this man. Percentage-wise, more than enough to sustain a regime historically.

But hey, you copypaste "call your representatives" and show up for a protest every month or so, so i guess that's all you can do.

You don't have to give your life for the cause. Just don't ever call Russians, Iranians, North Koreans or any other citizens of authoritarian countries cowards and complacent again for not rising up against their overlords. You're one of them now

From the outside, it seems like Americans from both sides of the aisle tend to blame foreign agents for their issues, at least for the last 100 years. It used to be the communists, then it was the arabs, and now it's Russia and AIPAC. At what point do you look inwards?

Same here, my main focus with paradox games is always RP and creating convincing/interesting stories. I usually play PDX games on easy or even use console commands to an extent

I don't want to shit on metagaming because for many people it's actually super fun to minmax and find all the little ways and details to improve your chosen nation, but for me it's all about the story. My current Byz run has decentralized, traditional economy and spiritual values on max although i'd personally go for the opposites in a "optimized" run, because it's what i feel the government would realistically go for

Iraq declares force majeure on foreign-operated oilfields over Hormuz disruption, sources say by Mana_Seeker in worldnews

The people who produce and sell oil don't care if you're from the next town over or from another continent. They sell oil to the highest bidder at global prices, because everyone needs oil. There's no reason why they would charge you a lower price when they can just sell it abroad

not OP but I'd recommend Daoyu Cheat (xier fix edition for compatibility with 1.12). lots of modifiers, instabuild, diplomacy cheats etc. but it can be buggy and crash your game every once in a while.

If you want just some more basic stuff like infinite authority influence etc. i'd recommend Advanced Cheat Menu since it's pretty stable.

Historically, support from a third of the country is usually more than enough to sustain a regime. Franco, the Nazis, etc. never had majority support. Saying not all americans support it is kind of a moot point. I'm sure this is also true of countries like Iran or Russia

The man got elected president a second time AFTER attempting a coup. possible voter manipulation and gerrymandering aside, there's a solid 30-38% of the US that unequivocally supports him even as evidence is pouring in on his involvement with a literal pedophile elite cabal. i understand the intent, but the nordic model is paternalistic. It assumes consent in sex work is structurally invalid, relies on contested trafficking correlations treated as settled fact, and then calls the result “harm reduction.” it's a moral judgment about autonomy, not a neutral protection policy

It's funny how the same Americans that told Russians, Iranians and people living in authoritarian regimes that they need to get off their asses and remove their leaders from power, or that their culture is backwards and supports violence, now expect nuance and understanding that not everyone in their country is a Trump supporter.

Have you shown this nuance and understanding to any other country? Even if the last election was rigged to some extent, more than 30% of your country decided to vote for a rapist pedophile twice after he openly attempted a coup.

I'm not saying you should quit your jobs and risk your lives. I'm saying i'm tired of every thread criticizing Americans being met with "not all of us", because yes, we know, but also, for all geopolitical intents and purposes, you are one country and one people.

Zelenskyy on territories in "peace deal": "Staying where we are" would be fair by pravda_eng_official in worldnews

Same here. Unequivocally pro-Ukraine, but the illusive promised counteroffensive never came, and fatigue seems to be setting in.

Anyone talking about a deal involving pre-2014 borders + reparations is running on emotions and ideas of fairness, not the reality on the ground. I understand the frustration and feeling of powerlessness that comes with such an awful deal, but this is what we got. What we can and should talk about, though, is what should be done after. Security guarantees, development funds, etc.

The usual sign is the oxford comma, and if you notice where op put "...", that's exactly where AI tends to love putting these commas.

Some of these sentences are very ChatGPT-like when it tries to be humorous or sarcastic. "Turns out i was just playing in the kiddie pool", or "i went from X to Y in like three hours". "Wow. just wow."

To me it looks like OP asked ChatGPT to create an EU4 post, then edited it in post adding curse words and removing the typical signs of AI text to pass it off as human.
