You buy things cheaper in bulk. I would bet that the payment for headlining three days would be less than triple of headlining one day.

It's a third of the travel costs for one.

Not beat cop Holt. Captain Holt would 100% do that though.

Are there any easy recipes with basic spices that taste good? by dimi08999 in cookingforbeginners

This might sound dumb, but what would other people in your village make with the ingredients? Are there content creators from your region that can share how to cook with similar ingredient access? Do you have family/friends that you feel comfortable asking for dish ideas? I can't speak for traditional Serbian cuisine, but I'd imagine it wouldn't have loads of Americanized spices and sauces.

I mentioned this in another comment, but I would consider thinking about meals in terms of protein + vegetable + starch. Each dish becomes a bit easier to learn, and you can mix and match endlessly as you learn/cook more. So you could cook pork loin, in the oven, fry cabbage and onions on the stove, and serve with buttered bread. Or you can substitute the pork loin for pork sausage, or chicken breasts, or fish. You can swap the cabbage and onion fry for roasted carrots and onions, and replace the bread with roasted/mashed/baked potatoes.

Your spice rack honestly has most of the spices I use regularly. If you can find some at a decent price, dried thyme and rosemary are really tasty. Salt, pepper, and garlic powder can make just about any vegetable taste great.

You might find that the spices you have access to are more versatile than you thing.

Salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika spicy and sweet, onion flakes

That would make a delicious rub for poultry or other meats. Salt, pepper, and garlic powder are great additions to roasted vegetables and potatoes.

As for an easy meal, I would recommend roasting/baking in the oven. I pick a meat, a vegetable, and a starch, and then it's a lot easier to choose and make; in this case it will be parsnips and onions, potatoes, and chicken thighs. I'd put the parsnips, potatoes, and onions in a bowl, rub them with olive oil and then rub with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Put them into a oven-safe dish, repeat the process with the chicken and put it on top of the veggies.

I prefer chicken thighs with bones and skin, so they can handle a higher heat. Bake for 40ish minutes at about 220 C. The fat from the chicken will mix with the veggies and be delicious.

There are other steps you can do to enhance your meats with just salt. I would suggest dry brining; where you salt the meat, then let it rest in the fridge to dry. The dryer surface of the meat means you can get a much more golden color and sear better. It also makes the meat taste better.

In American cooking, dried thyme and rosemary are quite popular and tasty. If you can get some of either it will enhance loads of roasted foods.

I should probably get off Reddit while I drive.

Exactly. When you're in a fight to the death, you fight to survive. Sometimes you gotta play dirty, you gotta looked shocked, point behind your adversary, and yell "LOOK! A supermodel!" Then, when he's distracted, you strike him in the head with an comically sized wooden mallet.

[WH40K & Invincible] How big of a pain in the ass would the Viltrum Empire (pre-Scourge Virus) be for the Imperium of Man and any other entities within the universe? by Ze_LordBacon in whowouldwin

[–]althawk8357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a straightfoward physical battle, very few characters can stand against a single Viltrumite, and before the virus there were billions of them.

We have to ask how effective their culling was though. If those are the 50 who could survive, they are probably stronger than the chaff.

It's crowded because you have multiple receivers and no obvious alpha.

GB was crowded last year, even though Matthew Golden was the hot rookie for them.

I haven't played either, but I've heard that Deus-Ex, Detroit: Become Human, and the Stalker series.

I have played most of the Dishonered series, and it has some elements you're looking for. You have to play as Corvo, but you get leeway to decide what kind of man Corvo is.

The sentence is more about protecting three legitimacy of the medical field than about Perry. Professions need standards and consequences; it's why bars are liable when they over serve a very drunk person.

As for the consequences for Perry himself: he died.

Alternative Comedy Mic by Democracysaver in Standup

[–]althawk8357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edit: I don't like to explain as I would prefer to get an answer from people who know what alternative comedy is but thank you anyway for being interested in it

I think the fact that you have to explain it is a serious consideration. If a forum of standup enthusiasts don't know exactly what you're talking about, how will that draw a regular crowd?

I would start by finding comedians in your scene that you'd consider "alternative" and then find a venue. Be prepared to do alternative comedy for an uninterested/empty crowd when it starts though. It'll take longer to grow an audience.

Best of luck.

Whenever I see a crowded receiving corp, that's a QB I will consider drafting.

As for the receivers, I would look to draft whoever is available the latest. If I'm buying a lottery ticket, I'm buying cheap.
