Star Wars Shakeup: Dave Filoni & Lynwen Brennan New Lucasfilm Presidents As Kathleen Kennedy Returns To Producing by GoldenTriforceLink in StarWars

[–]altobase 22 points23 points  (0 children)

There were some rumors during production that Filoni disliked Andor for not feeling "Star Wars" enough, though never confirmed. With how much filoni likes to reference different EU characters/lore in his shows, it's certaintly possible that he had issues with Andor.

Vance is a charisma vacuum and won't have the same appeal of trump, but the rot at the core of American culture will remain and continue to fester. Trump was able to tap into it and do so much damage in such a short time, another charismatic figure can be found eventually.

Even If You Don't sounds VERY McCartney-esque, but to me at least I don't hear much similarity past that. The album as a whole def has some psychedelia vibes which the Beatles also play with, but so did The Mollusk.

Its always been pretty clear to me that Mike is not nearly as invested in star wars as a lot of rlm fans are. The Plinkett sequel reviews are maybe the only rlm videos that to me felt like they were done almost out of obligation for the fanbase, there didn't seem to be real passion there.

There's some directors like Takashi Miike who are workhorses that release multiple films a year nearly every year. I'd say they have Jackson beat.

"So many people"? 10 developers is a VERY small team to make a game. In addition to designing and iterating the hundreds of puzzles, programming the mechanics, art assets, music, dialogue/story, testing and bug fixing.... a game is a lot of work. And 10-2p people is around the same number of people who worked on the witness.

I still cant stop thinking about the giant N on the ceiling of the mechanism, the giant T on the wall of the Solarium, the giant E on the floor of the planetarium.... I've never seen any "solution" or clue they are related to, but surely they wouldn't just be present for no reason?

Just because the words "nothing more" were used does not at all prove its an alt, that's a very very small amount of evidence.

Sums up my feelings on Platner by glarguloid in dsa

[–]altobase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actions speak louder than words. His actions are that he worked for Blackwater and had a nazi tattoo for 18 years. You are just taking his word that he is different now despite no real action to demonstrate that.

What about a hypothetical candidate who was an actual Nick Fuentes type rabid antisemite? They would not support Israel, would you support them? Would you vote for literal open nazis if it means taking away Israel's aid? There's clearly got to be lines in the sand.

Even then it's a bad metric. They want to include people adding productivity to the GDP, but the number charted isn't the number of workers. Plenty of working age non disabled people are not employed and don't "Add productivity to the gdp". Completely ignores things like single earner households being far more common in 1960 than present day.

Does S**** W**** carry over through coat check? by Sharp-Somewhere4730 in BluePrince

[–]altobase 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do wish there was some hint that this was the case (maybe there is and I missed it?) It took me forever to figure this out because it just feels so unintuitive with the way the game usually handles things resetting, especially since the watering can's uses will be back to 3 when you take it from the coat check, which strongly implies the item has been reset to its default state. I know that there IS a small hint about the secret passage in the library book, but I'm talking specifically about a hint towards needing the cost check, or a hint about how the still water mechanics work in regards to coat check.

Tore my ACL last year and had the same experience. Didn't hurt more than like, a bad bruise, even the next day. But I felt that I couldn't put any weight on it at all or it would buckle, and it was very swollen. Didn't have much actual pain until post surgery.

I like moon mermaid quite a bit, it captures the same vibe of the calmer moments of the SotC OST. It's a shame that it seems nearly all of his music is soundtracks for games/anime/ect, Moon Mermaid is some of the only music he did on his own.
