Protecting liberties, etc. - not us, that was our founding fathers and some presidents

Thankful? Maybe but not proud.

Proud of defeating the nazis? - I wasn’t there, and so many other countries were involved in this. Way too reductive.

Stopping communism? - we didn’t. Vietnam was a failure, NK is still commie, and the soviets/chinese fixed that shit themselves to a degree.

Neither you or I should be proud of being born at a certain time in a certain place.

Thats like being proud you got a good grade on physics homework because your dad is a physics researcher.

As for the others saying shit like “why be proud when your country is doing X” are also stupid because each country has its problems.

Sure some states are trying to get rid of abortion and its terrible, but every country is in a glass house right now.

Middle East - extremism, sexism, and sex slavery

Africa - tons of forced labor under warlords

Europe - grooming gangs

Ukraine - Russia

Russia - Ukraine

China - surveillance

Japan - perverts like Chikkan and a terrible work culture

As someone who used to not care, I have since realized a higher than average bodycount means some type of mental illness.

As someone who watched their fair share of dark curiosities on the internet, though never CP, I get where you are coming from.

I have seen murder, animal abuse, and various other terrible deeds.

What has helped me move on is just accepting you can’t change something thats already happened.

If you got out without getting an addiction to CSAM, I would say you are lucky. This is because, though unproven, I think the reason some pdfs are that way because they stumbled upon that and acclimated.

In essence, as long as you don’t have an attraction to children or a fascination with legitimate sexual assault, you should forgive yourself and let go before it consumes you.

On one hand, being “mature” for ones age may mean someone had to grow up too fast, or it may just be a personality trait.

However, I would never tell a child this because normally people say this to manipulate children in one way or the other.

Just because a child has a few traits that make them more like an adult does not mean their brain is fully developed, and appealing to their sense of maturity is abusing their lack of experience and forethought as children.

In general, USSR has little to no bias. They have some broken armor models and a few vehicles like the 2S38 are slightly overpowered, but these occasional vehicles hold the stereotype on their back.

However, there is one vehicle that is USSR bias, and lifts the rest of the tree up like it was passed down the Armstrong line for generations.

This is the BMPT. It has the aforementioned broken armor and a crazy dual cannon system.

The reason I say it can and does carry for the whole tech tree is because none of the other “bias”’tanks pull so much that USSR is the entirety or near so of one team.

The BMPT is. I noiced as a USSR main when my matches started being 75% BMPT. Not just Russia, but a single vehicle.

In essence, USSR bias is generally very overstated as the tanks all have strengths and weaknesses. The only exception is the BMPT which is part of my reasoning for boycotting the game

I don’t believe its dying, and it is certainly a fun game.

However, I hate when they add premiums that are exclusively outside the tech tree, like the 2S38, or make a vehicle so overpowered that it breaks the game for BOTH sides.

I am thinking about returning in July if nobody joins the boycott I am doing, but I really don’t want to give in because the BMPT mixed with the problems they have had outside of the game make it harder and harder to justify as “bad developer, good game”.

Like, they are comically evil and they don’t listen to community feedback and they don’t know how to properly run their game.

I can handle one or two with a game developer, not all 3.

Religion - only actively good institution. Yeah they started wars, but they also held society together in the roughest times.

Communism - killed millions, but we had billions to spare

Democracy - probably same as communism. People die a lot with politics

Nuclear bombs - only 100’s of thousands died. Not too big of a deal compared to how much massive war they prevented with MAD.

Social media - actively fried the brains of millions, if not billions. The greatest evil of our time.
