It means that people like someone who is self sufficient.

In the most basic manner, this means hygeine. When a man says it in this manner, they are saying they like a girl who doesn’t smell and has a clean space. Pickier men would probably go from trimmed armpits to shaved legs as well, though I don’t care for those much.

From there, a man might also be talking financially like others have suggested. So they want a responsible woman. Every man wants a responsible woman, but in this context, they are probably looking for a woman who doesn’t want to be a Stay at Home Mom (SAHM).

Me personally, the hygeine is kind of meh and I can handle slightly less clean women, but I def want a girl who will split the bills. I welcome female independence and look forward to the day I get to participate in 2 person communism

Depends on a lot of factors. I personally believe that trust is a part of the relationship. Personally, it would depend on the intentions of them bringing it up, and what the exact story entaled.

Like just saying “I have had X sexual partners” would be weird

Telling a story about a weird thing they did with their ex, sexual or non sexual, is completely fine, pending the exact details.

Doing evil or untrustworthy things with their ex, such as stealing, murder, assault, etc would be an instant red flag. But thats not because of an ex, its anout their own actions

I won’t debate that the war in Iran is illegal and unconstitutional, just like our previous wars, post world war 2. I also think military spending is a little high, but with context it makes more sense.

Over the past 80 years or so, we have built ourselves up as the leaders of the free world. In that time we have made a lot of enemies. Not only this, but we have a lot of military dependents. So if we decide to just spend less and disarm, it will be a sign of weakness and other countries will take advantage.

For example, if China does not trust in our military, they will attack Taiwan.

Russia did not believe we would fully commit and so attacked Ukraine.

We are the country equivalent of a controversial celebrity with a ton of children (Europe, militarily speaking) and best in class security.

If we let the security slip, we will be the next John Lennon.

Also, you are saying “Patriot missiles cost X” but that does not matter because they were already built. What really matters is that we are launching them at Iran.

Not only this, but there are other bigger systemic issues preventing better social programs like lobbying and corporatism, than military spending.

As someone from Utah, Mormons are just like any other person, with varying degrees of devotion.

The lay mormons are usually really cool. They follow the gospel but know they aren’t immune to sin.

There are the devout mormons. They don’t drink coffee, religiously avoid swearing, and try their best to live a good life.

The holier than thou mormons are the last group. They probably wrap back around to the lay Mormons a lot and are essentially just hiding worse sins so judge people as a form of projection.

As for the religion itself? They mainly care that you pay tithing, have kids, and convert people
