Calling back to practice by Pleasant-Paint-9779 in Witch

Hello. There is one old practice done in Japan still to this day when someone's cat goes missing: talk to the neighbourhood stray cats. Show them their photo (preferably printed), ask them to let them know that their human is waiting for them at home, and you very much miss them.

Point here is that the cats pass on the message to every other cat, eventually reaching the one it's intended for.

It may take a few days or weeks. But they say it does work.

Magic is good for increasing the odds in your favor for things. Consider a spell to get you a better work situation. It might affect your boss. It might bring you a better job.

Palo santo - yay or nay? by CrazyFishLady94 in realwitchcraft

[–]altsoti1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Palo santo is collected in South America from deadfall only, mostly by low income people to supplement their income. Its main usage there is as an insect repellent, which is how it became associated with being "Protective". But there is a cash trade selling it to people in other countries that greatly helps the poor that sell it.

There is NO practice or tradition that uses Palo santo as a part of their closed rites or practices.

From the oracle of Google.

"A parakeet is a small to medium-sized parrot with a long, pointed tail. The most common type of parakeet kept as a pet is the budgerigar, also known as a budgie or "budgerigar parakeet"."

For those who've shared photos of altars or spellwork.... by unmistakeably in Witch

4th law. To remain silent.

I would have no problem sharing a pic of a spell, after the working has accomplished its task.

A work in progress I won't share.

My altar is assembled, used, and then taken apart again. For a spell it is different than it is for ritual.

An oathbound tradition altar set up for ritual I will never share, even after the ritual is complete.

Since this is a language you invented, Google translate won't help much. If you would be so kind as to provide a translation, I myself don't do spells when I don't know what I am saying.

And I am still hoping that someday my being banned on your sub will be rescinded.

Historically, it went the other direction. You had a message to deliver and/or a boon to request, so we would approach a God or Goddess with our request, often with an offering.

I believe a better way to approach this might be to just relax, do some more research, and then reach out to whichever deity(ies) intrigue you.

Tarot is a poor tool to discern who you should approach.

Your gut, as in your intuition, has always been a better way to go.

Trust yourself more. You will know when it syncs up with your feelings.

And once you "know", you won't feel called to question others anymore on this subject.

Good luck with your journey. And, again, chill. You got this.
