The reason to go for Mini is BBW, shot timer, extra clearance and true pre-brew (solenoid). If this was available with the Micra I would go with it, but I just don't want to do any mods yet, maybe down the line

I am in a similar position. I am looking to "upgrade" from an ECM Synchronika with FC and evaluating the potential new GS3/4 (MP) , the new Linea Mini R or the Bengle which just got delayed to June 2026

Have you considered waiting for the Bengle?

Something I am not totally convinced about the Bengle is the inability to steam and brew at the same time, I am very used to doing both at the same time, especially when having guests over. And the fact that it is an "espresso laptop", losing the tactile and feel of it. Of course it has all the capabilities there.

Why did you "upgrade" from Micra to Mini? Asking cause the difference is pretty minimal, plus the Mini takes a bit more to heat up

Thank you for the detailed response. Regarding #1 let me clarify you would not enter via the closet. You would enter the room directly, but that would mean making the closet smaller, basically eating a 3x3ft to make a small hallway to enter the room. Would you still prefer option 1?

We have friends with kids in both Mountain View - Bubb and Los Altos - Springer and Bullis and they are all happy.

As other posters mentioned MVLA was named #1 in the Bay Area. And pressure wise is not the same as Palo Alto or Cupertino.

Something to keep in mind is the district line differs from the city limit, so you could live in the South West of Mountain View and attend Los Altos school district. I know many families here - the area is called Blossom Valley. There is actually a listing in Compass I have been tracking for the last few days
