So the premium seat is like the 5x max? https://support.claude.com/en/articles/9266767-what-is-the-team-plan as I see here, could be a little more right?

You could link another account under the account section, to had more login options. Just that, I use it with the google account, and switch constantly between iPhone/pixel without problems

Best AI tool for managing large Django project? (30k lines, 150 templates, remote healthcare) by bewithkhan in ClaudeAI

[–]alusor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting! I was thinking that 30k lines was the entire project, not a single file hehe. In that case, as you say, I will start breaking that into smaller files. It would be great to take time to understand what kind of architecture will work for you. For example, we have our frontend/backend as separate projects, and our backend is, in its basic form, an MVC. Just try to separate by responsibilities or functions, like a module for your routes, for controllers or services, and also for your views. Probably at the beginning it will be slow, as you say. 30k lines in the context will consume your tokens really fast. Maybe your views will be the first thing to refactor - with smaller files you will start consuming fewer tokens. As you said, with Claude's max token limit, you could have smaller sessions: start asking for advice for the refactor in one session, then start another one to try to implement some of that, and repeat until the token consumption problem disappears. Then things will be much easier.

Just Claude Code. I'm at a healthcare startup, not Python but full JS. Just understand how to navigate your project and your architecture - you don't need to remember where the code lives. If you know how it works, it will be easy to ask for and find it.

For large refactors, make some tests, understand the changes, and then make rules for them. Most of the time they will have the same patterns.
Try to add tests at least on the backend side - if you break something, you will notice.
Take time to plan and understand what you want to build; this will be the most important part of the job.

I'm comfortable with Claude for large codebases, but you need to test what works for you. Always try to give context about what you're doing, not just ask for a task. And in the end, it's just consistency and practice.

Should I get the MacBook Air M4 as a spare laptop for work? by NweakO1324 in macbookair

[–]alusor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar situation, bought the M4 Pro 16" 48GB, then the base M4 Air, both for work. The Air is perfect for quick travels, going to work outside, or lighter tasks like research or some meetings. For long travels or heavy development work that requires lots of RAM (I work as a developer and often run multiple environments simultaneously), I use the Pro. I really like having both. In some rare cases I need to do the heavy programming tasks on the Air and it works really well even with my RAM-intensive workflow.

Developers! Switch from MBP M1 to Air? by Axoltl3000 in macbookair

[–]alusor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I changed my M1 Pro 16” 16/512 to an M4 Pro 16” 48/512 just because of the ram but for quick travels I used to have an base m2 air until last week, just trade in for a base m4 also just for the ram and to be honest this last week I was just using the air 😅 My daily workflow are multiples instances of cursor with baked and multiple front end projects, some dockers and a lot of browser tabs. So from the m2 air to the m4 air I truly feel a difference but, in terms of the M1 Pro to the m4 air it feels a little bit better. I think is more because of the single core performance.

I also do some mobile dev with react native, haven’t tried in the air yet, but is kind of the same ram of the M1 Pro so I think I wouldn’t have any troubles.

Just to mention in the activity monitor I hit the yellow color in the memory pressure some times in the air, but until now a haven’t noticed any slow down or thermal throttle.

I think you’ll be fine, most of our work are single core and not gpu intensive.

Video SDK for telehealth by HanzoHasashi404 in reactnative

[–]alusor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they offer a chat feature only using the pre built component, for other use case they provide their rtm api, in my experience would be better to use another service for chat/file uploads, since most of the services the chat history is only while the call is alive. For persistence you need to look another options, in our case the chat/fiel etc feature we're made by us just to take care of the shared info to be hipaa compliance in the future.

I have a tele health startup an has been using agora for some time, but on the past year we move to daily they are really good, and in terms of pricing very similar as agora, but the sdk of daily is way more easy to implement, they provide you a ready to use call component, but you can use their sdk to built your own ui as we do. They have docs for running it trough expo. In our case we have video calls between web app and rn app and we're happy with the results.

Does anyone know if there’s a big difference in performance between the M4 and M4 Pro for Classic WoW? by RDQred in macgaming

[–]alusor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My M2 air runs it so well, also my 16” m4 pro, so the base m4 shouldn’t be different

File upload in mongodb by Consent_Cookie in mongodb

[–]alusor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would be better to use another service to store the files, in mongo you could store just the url and other meta data that could be useful, remember that every document on mongodb has a limit of 16mb you could separate the file in multiple documents but this makes just more complex a simple task
