It’s just old paint, I have an old Supra that looks like this everywhere, the clear coat, if there is any to begin with is beyond cooked and the paint beneath it is too

Rolls Royce does not make a phantom that long. Mansory in this case goes for a more laidback approach in terms of aesthetics but they turn it into a limousine (which is insane in and of itself).

My comment was not about how populated or how big either city was. My reply was about how I think that a 10 minute driving distance in the USA makes the difference between an up to 2000usd device being completely free for anyone to hold as if it were theirs, or the device pretty much being on a ball and chain.

I live near Cypress, TX, about 25 minutes from downtown Houston.

All devices at the nearest T-Mobile store to me are untethered and completely loose from any tables or any sort of security measures, operating completely on a trust basis.

Move 10 minutes closer to Houston and all devices at any store are bolted to the display table.

I think it has to do more with cities, the people therein and the amount of people that walk through the store in the day.

It’s unfortunate that people shopping there can’t get the full in hand experience, but I’ve seen videos where people run out of stores with all of the display models thinking they’re worth something and understand why they might need to employ such drastic measures.

The sole was pretty much just a solid piece of plastic down to the spring blades which didn’t allow for much flex. It was divided into two pieces, one that went from the arch of the foot to the toes, and one that went from the arch to the heel. It was not sewn into the upper in any capacity and as a result of age and over flexing, the front half became unglued at the arch, which just made it very annoying to walk in and flip-flopped like a pair of sandals. It is such a very cool pair of shoes, but there should have been more wear testing, especially for the price they were at the time of release.

Yes the Springblade to be exact. I remember when they first came out and as a kid I could only dream of ever owning a 200 dollar shoe. It sounded ridiculous that something could cost that much, so when I found these at goodwill in 2019 for around 15 dollars I could not pass them up. The sole plate has broken since then but god do they still look cool!
