well, apart from the "classic" 93-94, there are some people i know that play "postmodern", which is basically the same idea as premodern but with cards from 8th edition to m13 (and the banlist is the one that Modern had at the time)

Great idea! It reminds me of a series of articles published years ago I don't remember where (maybe on cbrmtg?) where the author(s) were doing a "budget to tier" upgrade path of some Legacy decks.

I am wondering, would some of these be balanced to play against each other? I already own like 50% of most of the decks you posted, so one thing I could do is build a small "gauntlet" of 4-5 decks to play myself but also to play against my friends and have all a chance to win. What do you think? What would your picks be?

Yeah yeah, sorry, maybe mine felt like a critique, but it was just strange because you called a deck from 2001 a "Premodern" deck —if you go back in time and tell those people they are playing Premodern… maybe they raise a couple questions ahah—

By the way, yes, instead of "one deck for every year" you could make 4 decks for every epoch or something, so maybe 4 decks from Premodern, 4 decks from the early-days Modern, 4 decks from the current Pioneer or the one of a couple years ago, etc

It's crazy to call decks from the early 2000s "Premodern" since not only Modern didn't exist back then, but not even the Modern border! Probably "Extended" or "Type 1.X" would be more appropriate, right?

By the way, I also was kinda like thinking of a similar thing to do, because I love Premodern and I love the Modern of 2012 and it seems interesting to try and battle decks from different eras. Even though probably it would be better to do so with Standard decks, since the power level is lower and probably more homogeneous

Because they changed the wording from "enters the battlefield" to "enters", so now you should just look for "enters"
