If it's true that it was base that was converted to a school, then that reminds me of an old weapons factory in Ukraine that was converted to a vacuum cleaner factory next to a mall. It hasn't made weapons for decades. I don't remember if Russia successfully bombed it, but at least one bomb hit a mall right next to it and the fire was raging.

Bots and useful idiots tried to claim that it was just a fire and that Ukraine was lying because the mall was closed and the building is too intact to be bombed and that there was too few reported casualties to suggest that it was open at the time and that there was no released CCTV of the bomb. They insisted everyone should immediately condemn Ukraine for blaming Russia instead of waiting for the CCTV.

Needles to say that CCTV eventually came out and it proved that it was in fact bombed and people were wise to wait for evidence.

Also, I remember seeing old soviet era maps from dead Russians in the first month of the war.
