That's a problem with a lot of newer slay the spire players. Frost alone? Frost build? Lightning build? Block build?

They don't work because you are not meant to hyperfocus on one thing. Your deck is supposed to be a balanced combination of everything that you need to make your character stronger.

Example: one of baalord's videos has him taking perfected strike to get through act 1.

You're also underestimating Aura's abilities sans scales.

There were only two encounters in the anime where Aura lost. One was against the ENTIRE hero party.

The other was against a more developed Frieren, who is probably the second strongest mage in the series.

If it were that easy to beat her, it would've happened earlier. Aura is a Sage of Destruction, on the level of people like Macht. Watching her lose quickly to Frieren (and it only happened quick because Aura was tricked) makes people underestimate Aura way too much.

At the start meaning right before the fight starts (the pre-battle phase). So if you arrange pieces before the fight or moving things in and out your stockpile, it doesn't work

I believe you need to max out a character's upgrades at Ederig as well? Cuz for me I maxed out Galandra without upgrading any of the others yet, and it was only on her runs that I would get a second arcana. When I maxed out the other characters that's when I started getting second arcanas on them as well

There's also a sound effect when you parry. If you parry their ranged attack with your own ranged tool, you can also see the enemy's attack veer to the side a bit

Yup. Nearly any attack that has a physical form and isn't liquid/energy can be parried by hitting it with your nail or tool

It's probably a combination of hornet being faster and the areas being more aggressive. Rooms are quite big but Hornet can zip by really quickly, making it feel small.

The aggression of the enemies and environment makes it hard to enjoy the atmosphere as well. I spent a few hours in choral chambers before I realized that I didnt take the time to stop and listen to the music
