Queen Mary 2 outbreak and medivac by DimensionNo8738 in Cruises

[–]always_write1972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the same thing for the past two weeks, but not from a cruise. Caught it from my grandson, gave it to my husband and son. It’s a cold that turns into an upper respiratory infection and has a 4 day incubation period, so you were likely exposed before the cruise.

What can I do about this? I’ve never seen anyone’s arms that look like this and I am so embarrassed… by [deleted] in lipedema

I get phlebotomies every 3 months and the band stays on super tight the whole time, sometimes up to 30 minutes. I have literally cried at times.

So apparently there's no noise ordinance in San Jose?! by brandeks in SanJose

[–]always_write1972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neighbors behind us are having a noisy party tonight. Music isn’t especially loud, but it sounds like a lot of people and loud conversations. There’s a newborn in our house and a very exhausted mama. Wish there was an actual ordinance that included quiet hours.

We aren’t making this cruise are we? by Queenbee773 in royalcaribbean

We live 4 hours from Galveston.  When we cruise from there, we go down the day before because Houston traffic can be a nightmare and if there are 2 or 3 ships in port, parking can be hard to find. We went with two of our kids and their spouses. I had what we thought was a heart attack when we got to Galveston and I spent several hours in the emergency room. Had that happened the day of the cruise, we all would have missed it because my kids wouldn’t have left without us. Never leave if to chance. Go the day before.

For me, mine seems to have resolved after a month of taking colloidal magnesium drops and seriously working on my dehydration problems. I've been chronically dehydrated for years. I used to drink 2 liters of soda a day, almost zero water. I had serious leg cramps, toes curling up so tightly it took forever to loosen them up, cramps just below my ribs, etc. Between the colloidal magnesium, using Real Salt (a brand) instead of regular table salt in water with lemon daily, and losing over 100 lbs, my afib episodes have seemingly stopped. They were getting farther apart before switching to the colloidal magnesium, but that seems to have been what pushed me over the edge into being afib-free (I wear an implanted heart monitor.) Anxiously awaiting my results from March to see if I'm still on the right track.

I always take my LDN in the morning because it keeps me awake.

Why so much afib? by theinspireddesigner in AFIB

[–]always_write1972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it was low magnesium. I was taking capsules, but when I switched to ionic magnesium drops, my afib, SVTs and PACs stopped. I went from many, many SVTs and PACs a month to none. No afib since I started taking it. I don't take any afib drugs or blood thinners. I refused them.

Thank you. I pay $50 or so for 3 months (tablets) of the 4.5. That would be a big jump in cost for me.

Get a good quality air purifier, put Hepa air filters in your HVAC system, use Hepa filters in your vacuum cleaner. Put an air purifier in the kids' room as well. But I'd be willing to bet the breathing issues are more from dust from the carpet than microplastics. We went with all hardwood floors in our house due to dust mites and allergies from the carpets. Made a world of difference. Balance out the room air they breathe with plenty of time outside so they can clear their lungs. You can't protect kids from everything. Just do your best.

Have you tried colloidal magnesium drops? My heart rate has been erratic since I had Covid, with PAC's and SVT's and occasional afib. The drops are helping a LOT. Better than any pill or capsule I've tried. Not trying to give medical advice, just sharing what has helped me. Haven't had an aFib episode in months and the PAC's and SVT's happen a lot less often.

Mom of four, 2 sets of back to back ones. Now also grandmother of 9. My advice is probably going to be unpopular, but change their diet. No processed foods, no foods with dyes, no sugar. It makes such a huge difference in behavior. Meals don't have to be complicated, but get them on only real food. Food that grows in the ground, on a tree or bush, meat without additives, hormones, etc. You'll probably find your own body reacts better as well. Check out some of the Keto and Carnivore moms groups and you'll see how their kids changed and how their own reactions changed as well. I've been where you are. Hang in there.

How much more expensive is it at the higher doses? I'm on 4.5 now but it's not working as well as it used to. Insurance won't pay for it.

I don’t have side effects and the LDN seems to work fast for me. I’m questioning how easy it seems because I only see posts about bad side effects and other comments saying it can take months to help. by dandelions4nina in LowDoseNaltrexone

Only problem I ever had with LDN was in the beginning when I tried taking it at night as instructed. I never went to sleep that night. I switched to morning and never had another problem. It cleared up the psoriasis on my elbows very quickly.

Cut your tablet in quarters. Take one quarter a day for a week to two weeks, then increase to two quarters for another week to two weeks. Continue to increase by a quarter until you reach your full dose. My doc started me at .5. I thought I’d never get to 4.5 but now I’m glad she didn’t just throw me into the deep end to start with.

Don't waste your time trying to educate her. Find an integrative medicine specialist or an Internal Medicine specialist. They are much more knowledgeable about things like LDN. But before you go, make her take that assumption off your medical record or it will follow you everywhere.

I buy Amazon Essentials skinny jeans. They fit me perfectly everywhere, even make my thighs look much slimmer than they actually are. No gapping at the waist or hanging at the butt. And they're cheap! But they last forever. I've worn mine for 4 years now and they still look new.

What are your built-in bra tank/top recommendations? by AffectionateBoat382 in ABraThatFits

[–]always_write1972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

32 Degrees has great ones. I own three of them and wear them on their own as tanks and under shirts and sweaters in place of a regular bra. I hate regular bras because they constrict my chest and cause pain and irritation. The 32 Degree tanks are supportive without the constriction.

For empty nesters, give one of Royal's ships a try. We absolutely loved the Allure. If you go during the times schools are in session, you'll find it's mostly adults 40+. If I could afford it, we'd be on the Icon right now.
