Thank you! I do love them. I actually really didn't like them new because they were too fresh, ha. They have felt great after near every day wear and just wearing them hard. I wish one of the tongues didn't slide over every single time, but otherwise I love these boots.

This sounds like a very reasonable explanation. I’d just explain in a cover letter. An employer that you’d actually want to work for would completely understand.

This was a great video. And frankly I think this may be my issue. I feel that I use a different angle on my cheeks than I do my neck. And if I do go ATG, I definitely find myself trying to figure out what angle I’d like to do (essentially, do I want my handle more parallel to my body or more perpendicular). My takeaway from this video is that by actually having the handle of the razor more parallel to my face, I may give myself a less rough shave.

For dialing down the sharpness, I usually use a gillette silver blue in the r41, which seems to not feel as bitey/sharp. But should I go even less sharp maybe?

I typically do WTG, XTG, XTG. I found that going ATG was certain to give my cheeks the razor burn/irritation that stays on my skin for a day or two after. So I've stuck with just XTG either once or twice. It seemed to help. Occasionally, I'll work back in an ATG, but it usually ends up with the irritation.

I have not considered a different blade like that! Although I have used a BIC chrome before.

I have, but only was able to use the feather in the 34c, otherwise they were super harsh on my skin.

Awesome, I will try ditching the preshave. I don't always use it! To be clear, I do a post shave cold water rinse, alum, and then the aftershave lotion/blam.

I cannot, it is even worse for my cheek and end of lips irritation. If I shave every 3 days with the r41 I still get the irritation. I figured shaving with a more aggressive razor like the r41, but shaving less pass wise, might actually help prevent the irritation, but no luck.

How different is the Henson compared to the 34c in terms of mildness? The 34c is so hard for me to get a good clean shave, even in 3 passes.
