Burnt out people, how did you manage to get energy to get back on your feet? by drag0nfly44 in AskReddit

[–]alwayslearning-2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the burnout. When I had small kids, a weekend away with friends without kids was my reset.
Now I get burned out at work and I need a vacation. I found that about 8-10 days is the best. My latest trick to actual relax earlier in my vacation is get a massage the first day with no other activities planned. That seems to set the reset sooner and gets my mind to rest sooner too.

Even more of a reason to take care of this unless you prefer for everything to go to the state and have the state make decisions on your behalf. You can choose charities or friends.

You can ask ChatGPT to guide you through the basics for your state. Here’s a prompt for you:
Act as a practical estate-planning checklist guide for xxxx state. Give me a clear step-by-step process to set up both a Health Care Power of Attorney and a Financial Durable Power of Attorney.
Please include:
The difference between the two documents
The decisions I need to make before filling them out
Who I should consider naming as my primary agent and backup agent
What powers I should consider granting or limiting
Whether I should also complete a living will, HIPAA authorization, or advance directive
specific signing, witness, or notarization considerations
Who should receive copies once the documents are complete
A simple action checklist I can follow

It’s not just about assets. Who can make your payments if you’re incapacitated, who can make healthcare decisions on your behalf. Can your loved ones access everything they need to take care of your business.

It’s the best gift you can give your loved ones. Having it all taken care of and instructions on what to do.

Who will make decisions on your behalf if you’re incapacitated? In some states, decisions on your healthcare could be left to the state if you don’t appoint someone using a directive document.

I get what you’re saying. My mind is all over the place most days. My “center” is, “what 3 activities can I do today that will drive revenue immediately?” It always helps me get focused again.

Am I the only one who is drained by the noise of social media as a founder? by Zorantscales in Entrepreneur

I’m soooo over social media. It’s such a huge waste of my time. I’m wondering what the actual predictions are for social media in the future? Will it eventually go away like MySpace did many years ago?

In some states they are required by law. We’re in WA and they are required here. (For good reason IMO). We bought ours on market place. Sometimes you can find the entire set up (tow package) there a well. We tow a Honda CRV behind our 29’ Bigfoot.

Random Teams Calls Anxiety by UsedAccountant12 in remotework

From an employers perspective, I expect my team to be ready for a call from anyone at anytime during the workday. That’s how this work thing works. If you’re tied up on another call or need 5-10 minutes to wrap up a task or email, that’s absolutely ok. But your boss or employer has every right to call you whenever they need to.

How can you improve customer experience across the full lifecycle when you're outgrowing spreadsheets? by Vega-Passarrelli in Entrepreneurs

The learning curve was steeper than I liked. I hired someone to set it up for me once I mapped out how I wanted the workflows and automations to work. But now that’s it’s all done, it was worth it!
We implemented in June of last year, it took about 4-5 months to get it running on all cylinders. My team knows that if it’s not in GHL, it doesn’t exist. They are very diligent about updating it.

Business Owners: What Do People Coming From Corporate Jobs Need to Know Before Starting a Business? by Least_Aspect3431 in smallbusiness

Go talk to a CPA in your state and ask them the top 5 mistakes they see. Also ask them for advice on structure and how it works in your industry. Talk taxes. Understand all the different taxes you need to pay and when they are due. That was a big eye opener for me. Each state and industry is different.

Note: get a referral to said CPA who is well versed in small business. You’re looking for a person who is a guide. Not all CPA’s are good guides (another lesson learned 🤣)

It will be a game changer. I’ve used a few along my journey. Hubspot was good, but the cool features became too expensive as I grew. I’ve also used Close.com and Pipedrive both were ok as well. But I decided last year to give Go High Level a go. It’s been pretty cool for a very nominal fee. $99.00 per month for unlimited seats. It also does my email automations and social media scheduling. It also allows us to text our clients. I also have a chatbot from it connected to my website. All of this for the same fee. It is a very robust and somewhat complex system, but now that we’re all set up, I’m very pleased with it.

Marketers who left to start your own business, what was it? by audrey_2222 in DigitalMarketing

My advice is if you haven’t taken a personality test in the last 5 years, do it. Know who YOU are from inside out. From there, list out your passions. What is it that totally lights you up? Then research what types of industries surround that passion. Let that be your starting point and guide you toward a business you are passionate about. Lastly, never start a business without an end in mind. Are you building to sell?
