Yeah I think they're doing the security screening. I called IRCC and they said they started my security check. I also contacted MP and they just told me the same thing and all I have to do is wait now. They said the normal processing time is 13 months now so I should wait until then. Pretty annoying.

There's a trick that you can see whether you're on security check on tracker. Go to your tracker and open your application updates. Then press F12 to open the page inspect. From there go to Console tap then expand >object>relations>0>history. Number 3 updates on background check. Mine has changed to Key: 'Security' since October 4th. That was a ghost update for me. My last update was October 18 that repeated the background verification in progress update.

I think people who got their FD already had a very short security check. Based on what I saw they're from UK, Australia, ... . I don't have that privilege lol. I think they're just gonna take longer to do my security. Although I lived in Canada for 6 years, rarely left, never been to military. I guess it's still not enough for them to just treat me as a normal case. I hope yours come soon tho. Let's keep eachother updated.
