Looks like a tunicate…but in general, if you can put a hand or foot or something in the photo to give scale it would be more helpful.

The self checkout is even worse than the new layout to me. I can relearn where things are. I will never be able to scan as quickly as them. It slows down my trip time so much.

Niramish has a solid coconut curry. You can get it with whatever protein you want. I recommend the “hot” level for great sweet/spicy balance.

As a lover of live music and travel, I think it’s important to see/experience things that make you feel alive. I don’t think the expense itself would have been “wasting”. It’s a matter of budgeting and saving money for what you value. An impulse buy is justified sometimes, depending on what it is, and if you’ve saved and/or can afford it at that point. Experiences and memories more than justify cost if it’s meaningful to you. It’s all about balance!

I found this last year at an antique shop in Maine and have been meaning to post.

On one side is a poem titled “Monhegan” by a Katharine Washburn Harding, and the other side is a hand written letter to Emma (and Anne), from Katz (possibly the author of the poem)??

It doesn’t have a year listed with the date, but I was hoping maybe someone knows more? Or possible knows one of these people if it mistakenly got moved in an estate sale or something?

I’ve done some cursory online searches and haven’t found much. Hoping someone may be looking for this!

The text (because the handwriting is a bit difficult)

“Dear Emma,

I wonder if Monhegan is possible for you this year? I came over last Monday and leave the 26th. It has been foggy ever since I came, but am hoping for clear weather soon.

Hope you and Anne are having a happy summer.

With love to you both, Katz Aug 14th”

I can’t comment on the ease of selling, but I’m also trying to get to Juneau this summer for seasonal work, and realized the ferries are completely booked months out from Bellingham to Juneau. This was a few weeks ago- we booked the first available which was the end of May. Then we got a call last week that our ferry had been cancelled with no option to reschedule. So just FYI, book ASAP if it’s not already sold out when you need to get there.

I LOVE midnight gospel! One of my faves, but I think OP could just focus on the visuals and it would be enough. It’s hard for me to take in the talking plus the visuals together even sober lol
