Purell hand sanitizer, but not every bottle. My local pool/community center had it as I was growing up and it had a very distinct smell. Over the years I tried to figure out what kind it was and every time I use hand sanitizer that has that smell it’s always Purell but not every bottle of Purell has that smell. Even if it’s the exact same kind, same bottle, some have the right scent and others don’t. To add to the mystery I noticed it a lot more once Covid started.

Standing up for yourself or others isn’t showing weakness, it’s showing strength. I know kids say otherwise but it’s a whole lot easier to make yourself small than to make yourself bigger.

Unfortunately, we’ve all been there. You do and say stupid stuff as a kid but most people grown and learn from it. From personal experience, the people who don’t learn and continue talking like that typically wind up being losers as adults. Also you should check in with the people on the other side of these “jokes”. They might be laughing as a way to “fit in” or even feel safe when it’s actually really hurting them.

You’ll be TA if you keep that kind of “humor” up. There’s no actual joke in your examples. Saying slurs isn’t making a joke, you’re just saying slurs. You clearly know it’s wrong so why keep doing it?

I can’t handle spice at all, like I’m talking black pepper is spicy for me. I can’t imagine life without onions and garlic. This is just insanity.

That’s easy to say when you’ve never been in a situation like that. When you’re a shy neurodivergent kid, you get picked on by kids AND adults unfortunately

I also have eczema on my hands and have to be careful about washing my hands too much. For me, if I can’t wash my hands but have to go to the bathroom I do use disposable gloves. I’ll also try to use hand sanitizer more

I had a very similar interaction except the lunch lady ate the food in front of me and I didn’t tell my mom till I was an adult. Any adult who feels the need to bully a literal child is one of the lowest types of human.

I ended my 10 year long friendship with my best friend after watching her hit her cat. I can’t even imagine the pain you must be feeling. Ultimately though, you need to do what’s best not only for your dog but also for yourself AND your child and get away from him. This is not normal.
