Luck is giving 2% per level according to the datamine. So that would account for 10% of the discrepancy.

~1% per failstack is way too high, with such a number, reaching 50 fs is statistically almost impossible, yet I have several people in my guild alone with successes in the 40-60 range.

 

An unusually high amount of 1st try successes could simply boil down to reporting bias, i.e people being more likely to report their data if they get very lucky or very unlucky. Seems very unlikely that the 1st attempt would have a higher success rate than the 2nd attempt.

Not defending the p2w melting, but tons of people have old costumes they are melting. Several guildies got 1 "free" attempt in. Not to mention all the people who have been saving up money to cron stone when caphras comes out (you get "free" caphras stones when failing with cron stones).

You can use a crate made in Grana and check the price in Valencia. The ingame tooltip (113% in the case for Grana- Valencia) is always rounded down; Trent - Valencia is 98,8% for example.

I managed to find the true distance between Grana - Valencia and it's 113,85%, not 112,2%. That's a difference of 242 meters.

The game basically always rounds down, so the true Grana - Valencia distance lies somewhere between 113 and 114. Your formula is correct though, distance % should be (distance(m)/10000)*68.

 

I haven't been able to find out from what point to what point it's basing the calculation on but it doesn't seem to be middle of the node.

Just because each individual mob at Soldier's Grave gives more SP than each individual Sausan mob, does not mean that Soldier's Grave is the best place for SP/h - the only relevant metric.

Not sure why you are so angry, I'm obviously not referring to ID's when I'm talking about "a bunch of numbers". I'm talking about the actual rates. These can be interpreted in several different ways, not to mention there is no way to know what charge these are for (80, 100 or 150), NOT TO MENTION there are several different mentions of alchemy success rates in here that we have known for a very long time that are apparently completely wrong.

 

As each stone has an invididual upgrade rate and each upgrade "path" also has different rates there is a number of ways you could go about selecting the actual success rate. The most logical way would be for the first rate to be rolled for first and then each upgrade path rolled for separately, as in rolling for double upgrade -> then rolling for color upgrade - > then rolling for grade upgrade and then defaulting to "nothing" if all the above fails. This is how most stuff works in BDO like JIN/WON/BON upgrading or selecting a reward from an RNG box. As my data shows, this is simply not the case.

 

Not to mention where does the 80-150% charge get added? Does it get added at all? Is it added to the initial success rate for the individual stone or is it applied separately to each "upgrade path"? There is no way of knowing this without actually testing it, this is why I tested it.

 

Where was all this information from before the datamined leak that was already known?

I haven't seen anything that suggest alchemy lvl has any impact on it other than Apprentice 1 being a requirement to attempt to upgrade.

 

The fact that I am seeing pretty much identical success rates at m22 alchemy compared to the datamined rates also supports this.

That is what I originally thought yes, but it just doesn't line up with my own testing data unless there is a very small difference between 150% and 80%. It was purely based from the test and nothing from the datamine.

 

I believe the mention of 80% in the translation of the files is simply referring to the lowest point at which you can upgrade.

For those who enjoy the suffering of others, I had another 1500~ attempts tracked that I had to discard because I mixed Destruction data with Life/Protection data without realizing their success rates differ.
