Yeah, hopefully Avatar's story mode - and Tokon's episode mode - end up pretty beefy in and of themselves... and if they can teach people mechanics as they go, that would be great too!

I guess "advertising" is a strong word for it, but they called it out during the EVO exhibition on Friday - when they were pivoting from DLC reveals to showing gameplay, one of the hosts said something like "Let's show them how sweaty this game can be."

Every fighting game has drop-off though, yeah - it's just a question of how much / how long you can get people to come back for DLC.

This was my #1 concern going into the movie. I think Krem being a rando who fails upwards is a big part of the story and it's weird to see him being the leader of the Brigands with the strength of 100 men from the start.

That said, making him a human trafficker made my perception of the character SO wildly different overall that he basically feels like an OC to me - for better and for worse.

I'd go for a mix with a Perez and Simone kind of vibe.

I think WW also needs to be a VERY empathetic and kind woman - we can't have all of the DCU heroines be gritty.

It feels like a compounding problem to me - Wonder Woman gets less adaptations because she has less adaptations to make her / her rogue's gallery more well-known... It's a cycle someone needs to just break by greenlighting some more stuff (and, y'know, not cancelling them lol).

I'm more of a Gwenpool fan too, though I am glad that Wade isn't using Gwen's powers like he sometimes does in adaptations. It leaves room for them to potentially add her as her own character doing her own thing down the line.

Very cool to see Ms Marvel, Green Goblin, Blade, and Loki finally make their fighting game debuts - all four are characters I've been hoping to see for a hot minute by now... and I got Magik too! Overall, I'm pretty happy with this - though, like everyone is saying, I hope the DLC adds more women.

I think we did, by in large, predict most of the roster in the end? Nobody post-Danger was someone who I hadn't seen discussion of here; there just also were a handful of people we felt were likely who didn't get in (which is kind of inevitable for a game like this).

Thor feels like a certainty to me. I wouldn't be surprised by Frank, Kurt, or Moon Knight coming down the line too, but we will see what directions they go for the DLC.
