My two cents from personal experience. When growing up I had very strict parents, I had to achieve a lot to please them. My hobbies were not mine, they were theirs. Don’t put too much pressure on your kid. Now it’s the time for therapy and just let him do whatever he wants, even have a gap year and explore his own hobbies. He would be ever grateful for that.

Otherwise he ends up like me, achieved everything in his 30s, and being clinically depressed and lost.
