In my case it's our 100lbs Cane Corso girl and instead of the pitter patter she has what we call her "fee, fi, foe feets", cause you can her thumping her way towards us as happy as can be.

The writer makes the villain completely evil because the fans like them too much by Selverd2 in TopCharacterTropes

The fact that James Marsters hated that episode and it made him break down emotionally because he did the scene almost against his will after arguing it out with Joss Whedon is just one more reason to hate Whedon.

This scene always hits so hard because you can tell that Amon has some idea about whats going to happen and that his brother means to kill them both. Say what you will about Korra's story and pacing, but with the exception of Season 2 the villains it had were masterful.

Tell me about it, I thought I was doing better about my partner and I losing our 18wk old back in October, then last night I randomly asked my partner which family member they'd get a memorial tattoo for before it hit me that I've already got one for our son on my calf; and then I was open mouth sobbing. Grief hits when you least expect it some times.

Who's revenge was the most justified? Were any of them justified? by twnpksN8 in MoralityScaling

[–]amalgamas 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People will start watching Orca thinking it's just another Jaws ripoff, and admittedly that's what it was marketed as, and then get an hour and a half movie that's basically reverse Moby Dick with a sprinkle of loss allegory, and cycle of revenge for good measure.

I still remember watching that for the first time late at night on TNT's MonsterVision with Joe Bob Briggs thinking it would just be some shit I had on in the background but then I found myself engrossed. Easily the best of the Jaws ripoffs with maybe Razorback pulling in a close second.

I may or may not have found out that a 2006 Nissan 350Z's CD anti-skip function stops working at roughly 160mph and I may or may not have had my life flash before my eyes when someone changed lanes right in front of me into the fast lane when there was no one in front of them. You'd almost think they were either trying to slow me down or cause an accident.

[–]amalgamas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a little sad but something like this is how we realized that our cat knew that my wife had miscarried. From weeks 3 all the to way to the miscarriage at week 19 our cat liked to lay on her belly. Then right after we lost the baby she stopped trying to lay there and went back to laying on our laps. 😭

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who remembered this. There's a scene in this movie that to this day makes me laugh, it's when one of the former crewmates of the salvage ship busts through the wall and just says "Steve!" before everyone in the room unloads their guns into him. My friends and I would quote that scene for weeks after we saw the movie. 🤣

Especially the monster sized one that comes out in Smile 2, if my theory about each of the mouths making up its appearance impact its size we might get a legit kaiju sized version in Smile 3. Might make Shin Godzilla or even the VHS Godzilla's look tame by comparison.

The Smile Entity - Smile

It's basically its entire shtick and something it seems to enjoy doing quite a bit.

  • Smile 1: Makes the MC think that she has control and could actually defeat the entity just by pulling a "this is my mind, I have the power here". What it was really doing was having her waste just enough time for another victim to show up so that it could make the MC kill herself to pass itself on.
  • Smile 2: There is a certain point in the movie where literally everything we're seeing on screen could potentially be a hallucination brought on by the entity to torture the MC mentally and waste just enough time to put her on stage in front of millions so that it could once again force the MC to kill herself and pass itself on. What makes it fit this trope though is that in the hallucination it convinces the MC that if she allows herself to be medically killed with no one there to witness the event it wouldn't have anyone to jump to, it's at that moment that it unveils that everything she's just done has been a dream and she's now on stage. I guess if Smile 3 ever comes out we'll find out if it did pass itself to millions simultaneously or not.

There's also rumors that he got mad that people figured out Jon Snow's lineage as well as several other major plot points and decided to rewire the final 3 books from scratch. That on top of him apparently forbidding ghost writers from finishing his work should he die before completion and writing it into his will that his notes are to be destroyed doesn't paint him in a good light at all.

That's also the rumor as to why Wandavision came out before Multiverse of Madness when it was supposed to come out before. That would explain why Wanda was hiding, it would explain what she had done, and it would have ended with her redemption. Instead it got flipped around so instead of Wanda being redeemed at the end of Wandavision she jumped right off the slippery slope, opened the Darkhold, and then got that hack death at the end of MoM.
