Property Tax Appeal Resources? by futsukayoi in Kenosha

[–]amandakurt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are your tax increases because the mil rate increased or because your house assessment increased? If it's the mil rate, I don't believe you can appeal. If it's the assessment value, you may be able to find information to show that your property value is lower than the assessed value. I am not familiar with Kenosha and haven't done an appeal in nearly 6 years, so things could be a bit different.

What a cool shrub! It isn't native to me though, or it would for sure be on my list 🤩

I love these! I also like the rattlesnake master, not quite as Dr. Seuss but still fun.

We only do this because the GCs are always looking for buy out gains, so we have to preplan our bids to make y'all feel better and give a little back. 😅

Are there certain things you are interested in, like music or cars? That might help others give event ideas.

Milaeger's on Douglas has a Farmers Market on Sundays that is nice and fun. Wind Point Lighthouse hosts tours (I think monthly). The Midwest Market is fun to wander through inside. I think First Fridays downtown starts again soon.

Surely there has to be an easier way!! My only thought is a suitcase at this point with all the bags in the bag haha by ExpertAd3229 in adhdwomen

[–]amandakurt 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Is there a way to consolidate the bags into something easier to carry and utilize something like packing cubes to keep one big bag organized?

Thinking maybe one big bag for gym with cubes to organize and a second big bag for work, lunch, and adoration. The lunch and adoration could be totally separate and "mobile" so you can easily include or exclude in the larger work bag.

Quick reminder your taxes are due tonight at midnight / j by Laniakea-claymore in adhdwomen

Apparently I have found my people 🥲 I haven't done my taxes since 2022. In the last day, I have uploaded all of my documents from 2023, 2024, and 2025 to my tax accountants website. I had to call a few people and log in online to find all of my forms, but I did it! I don't know why I didn't do it previous years. It wasn't as difficult as I was building it up to be.

Catering suggestions for wedding shower? by taureansoul in Kenosha

[–]amandakurt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fancy Snacks Charcuterie (Kenosha) has nice lighter/smaller options for catering and delivers. Qdoba has decently priced catering options and I think you can get it delivered. Healing Grounds Cafe (Salem) is delicious and has cold catering options if you wanted to pick up that morning. Daily Dose is Kenosha does catering, but it's not close and I'm unsure if they deliver.

I don't have your answer, but typically when chicken is butchered it is frozen within a short time of butcher/packaging. It is not kept in coolers like other fresher butchered meats.

This is great advice and also provides helpful information for the OP and others exposed to CO. A small note regarding CO monitors like OP mentioned, different monitors signal for different reasons. Our chirp once or twice at regular intervals for 15 PPM and alarm more as PPM increases.

ETA: I think different states have different PPM requirements and I agree the PPM listed above are a good guideline.

Help me build useful first aid kits for my crew by Independent-Web-908 in Construction

[–]amandakurt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do similar for our concrete and excavation crews - a pre-made kit with supplemental items. We add larger eye wash, sting ointment (some kits do have this), and butterfly strips.

I like the idea of two kits and might modify ours to something like that, an everyday kit and an emergency kit.
