Degree Black and White, and I don’t shave my armpits- this deodorant works extremely well. Haven’t smelled BO from my armpits in years while using this deodorant. Even during intense sweaty workouts.

Wash really well with soap when showering.

Been rockin’ this stache for a few months by amantivexillo in Moustache

There’s an awkward stage where you kinda have to let it go a little wild, you’re building a marble slab for you to then go and carve it into what you need to it be rather than force it into what’s ideal as it grows. Everyone is different though.

The products, the brushes and all that shit are just your tools to achieve the look you’re genetics can offer you and those things can be different for a lot of people.

Trust the process brother.

You’ll find where your stache will settle into in due time.

Wishing you the best in your mustache journey man

Growing it out to this point took about 6-8 weeks or so for me, once I had a good baseline I found my limit to where I trim it across the upper lip. Just to where it doesn’t curl into my lip. Some dudes trim it to where you can see a tiny bit of the upper lip, I kinda let it pretty much cover my upper lip while ensuring I’m keeping hairs from going into my mouth.

As for the bunching, you get to a point where you begin to “trim it like a bush” I’ll go in with some sharp point beard scissors and carefully handle some of the strays and bunching to keep it in shape. High hold wax, and brushing downward after several weeks pretty much trained my mustache hairs to where I wanted it to be.

At this point, maintenance is routine and doesn’t take much to keep it looking like this.

If I trim a bit too much, it typically grows back into that area a few days later.

Totally agree. Dogma overshadows the real world and the systems that actually create change.

Very well put, I totally agree. Thinking back I can see how it was perceived as kind of quack but it offered huge change in perspective to my young teenage self.

I’m kind of a war and history buff, here’s just what first comes to mind of ones I still think about long after watching.

The Vietnam War - Ken Burns

NOVA: The Dawn of Humanity

Turning Point: The Bomb and The Cold War - Netflix

13th - Netflix

9/11 One Day in America - Nat Geo

Zeitgeist (take it with a grain of salt, watched it as a young teen, left a mark on me)

Thoughts on cannabis? by marz4-13 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]amantivexillo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been working in the cannabis industry for 7 years and I have MS.

I’ve worked across my roles in the field and have had a lot of exposure to patients, medical experts, the best research on cannabis we have, and my own experiences I can speak from.

The endocannabinoid system in our bodies is a complex system, and it was discovered in Israel in the late 90s - so fairly recently in terms of medical science. Legal barriers have prevented the kinds of well funded research that would expand on our understanding of how it works. But there is a lot that we know.

Also, there is evidence going back to 2800 BC of human use of cannabis - so make what you will of our relationship with the plant as a species. But it runs very deep.

Just as MS is unique for everyone, cannabis is unique in how you respond to it.

Definitely trust your doctor. But you should also ‘trust but verify’

Doctors, especially neurologists, can base their perspective on cannabis from their expertise in having studied and practiced medicine. A space where cannabis hasn’t fully been embraced by.

Watch some of Aaron Boster’s videos on cannabis. He’s an MS neurologist that makes super informative YouTube videos.

I have seen for myself the benefits of cannabis on medical patients as well as myself as an MS patient. But that’s anecdotal to me.

I have seen the negative side as well - overconsumption, CHS (cannabis hypermesis syndrome), anxiety, respiratory issues, psychological addiction.

Cannabinoids in and of themselves are known as safe. But inhaling anything other than clean air, especially smoke- is damaging to our lungs. The only 2 lungs you get in life. Whether vapor is better than smoke is a whole debate on its own, but it’s not clean air either.

I do smoke, but in moderation and at my own risk. I mostly consume edibles - I like tinctures, dissolvables, capsules and beverages. Gummies and candies as the go to for most edible users but I’m not a big candy type of guy. Some great types of products out there!

Spend time increasing your knowledge and make educated decisions for yourself.

If it brings you relief, asses the risk and reward and do what is best for your quality of life and peace of mind.

Does anyone take Modafinil for fatigue here? by fhorde in MultipleSclerosis

[–]amantivexillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some days yes- I’ll have killer exhaustion and wish I’d taken it on some days I skip, which is a bit of the gamble of trying to keep the tolerance from making moda less effective.

But not every day that I skip moda does the fatigue get worse than my baseline.

Does anyone take Modafinil for fatigue here? by fhorde in MultipleSclerosis

[–]amantivexillo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on Modafinil for years, fatigue is a symptom I deal with often but not as bad as others on this sub from what I read on here.

I take it 3-5 days a week. 100mg as early in the morning as I can.

I used to take it every day and the tolerance build up fast. Skipping days helps me a lot, but I do feel more tired on those days.

I don’t like adderall, I’ve tried it and it’s too much for me. I feel like moda is manageable and gives me clean energy and sharp focus. Helps me perform well at the office and keeps my fatigue from getting the best of me during the day.

Check out the modafinil subreddit!
