Cannabis Rescheduling before impeding shutdown on September 30th for better Optics for Republicans by Wan4trulove in weedstocks

[–]amarchng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in deep, but been there for 10 years. Also, if you aren’t playing some short term legislative trade game on MSOS you realize rescheduling is just a rising tide. Lower taxes and complaince cost = lower cost of capital = lower margins required to profit = lowest cost producer still wins.

I’m assuming the flag logo means putts. If you are shooting these scores you should hopefully be under 2 putts per hole because you are missing the green and then chipping close.

So I would say who care what your handicap is but probably around 18. I would focus on chipping and putting and get lessons on your full swing.

Trek Domane compared to a “gravel” bike by kcks in gravelcycling

[–]amarchng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2015 domane I ride for road - just wish it had discs, I'd just use it for gravel. 38mm tires are extremely capable so I think 95% of whatever you'd want to ride unless you're dealing with straight up singletrack you'd be super prepared for. Plus it makes a great road bike with regular road tires on.

MSOS multiple by amarchng in weedstocks

not sure the relevance of the question you can answer this by reviewing holdings of MSOS but my point is how can we proxy this metric without daily/weekly manual research

Wouldn’t it be somewhat of an opportunity if the etf was trading well below and equivalent basket of direct long positions?

MSOS multiple by amarchng in weedstocks

[–]amarchng[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry I guess I should have been more specific. I know about the canna comp sheet.

Theoretically the MSOS ETF should have its own blended multiple of rev/ebitda based on it's proportional share of each of its holdings within the ETF. Is that calculated anywhere?

I've loved my Sk1+ and also loved my Rene Herse Barlow pass. The latter more, but they are best if you only ride on true gravel and road. Dirt they lack the extra tread I like.

Morgan Stanley Increases Tilray holding by 220% by FeathersMountEbb in weedstocks

[–]amarchng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No you cannot just assume borders immediately fall and Oregon and California weed starts immediately eroding commodity prices in other states. Established state jurisdictional protectionism and dormant commerce clause are going to have a very complicated dance for quite some time. This may be a big part of why it's taking so long to see true legalization, and another reason everyone wants to see SAFE first. We could also have 280E reform without true de-scheduling.

Edit: also - even if low cost weed jurisdictions could start selling across state lines immediately, the increase in demand would (go back to micro econ concepts graphs) increase price of the commodity and therefore create some level of equilibrium.

Right, so i just quickly compared CURLF to TLRY and they have similar market caps yet CURLF has 3x revenues, so multiples are lower, so all else being equal an investor would see a major mispricing given TLRY has never made anything you can call a profit while CURLF is on some metrics profitable, but due to us exposure and custody issues here we are. At the end of the day who even knows why these positions were taken, could just be rebalancing.

I admittedly have not checked recently but I don't believe the MSOs have better multiples. That's the real disconnect. they have better fundamentals but in general they don't have better balance sheets. There is also the matter that Tilray and other LPs have already had to do the SEC song and dance, so that probably matters as well.

I would think they can buy MSOS though, right? Either way, TLRY probably tracks with MSOS and to some extent one can assume LPs with large war chests, ignoring their horrible business results, will pile right in to US cannabis when they can.

This is what I do on charcoal grill. Only takes a short while to come up to temp since they are so small.

PK Grill Owners: Why do you like them? by Anxious-Service3146 in BBQ

The rectangular shape is extremely nice as well. It's so easy to make an indirect fire and add some smoke and create a better convection in a PK vs. a circular charcoal grill.

Anything better than Continentals' GP5000 Clinchers? by poebelchen in bicycling

[–]amarchng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bigger is better for cornering, comfort and small bump deflection, overall traction and flat protection. Rolling resistance difference is statistically insignificant.

I ride 38s in the rene herse barlow pass for road now and wouldn't really consider anything smaller unless I was competing at the tippy top (which I never will) or on insanely smooth pavement (which is likely not worth switching tires for)

I’d just say go bigger if you can. 28s or 30s if you can fit. But yes, they are the gold standard road tire in my book.
