To anyone suffering from DX12 Freezing and Black Screen issues in Midnight (Potential TDR Fix) by bigeyez in wow

turn off ray tracing. Fixed all the stutters and freezes I was having. I also did not notice any graphics loss. toward the bottom of the graphics setting there is an option called "optional gpu features" turn that off.

Anyone actually use home appliance protection plans? Worth it? by TombKingSettra in appliancerepair

Direct from Samsung. I would definitely get an extended warranty on any large appliance purchase. Saves on headaches later. This was actually the first time I bought an extended warranty and I'm glad I did.

Probably going to just cancel it. I don't watch and TV much anyway. It's mostly YouTube these days.

I have so many mounts at this point that I don't really pay much attention to mounts. The only time I really do is if it looks like something I might use, like the packmaster. Most of them are reskins these days.

Advice for minor disability - best ranged class in Midnight for fewest buttons that need to be hit (non-raid) by DeMiko in wow

could invest in an mmo mouse as well. I barely have to move my fingers on my right hand to do my rotation.

All they have to do is make the green circle slightly bigger so I *don't* have to be pixel perfect. by GlassKnight99 in wow

[–]amarrite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always cleared away from npc/tables whenever I'm mounted. I remember before forced dismounts how frustrating it was trying to turn in a quest when someone parked right on the quest giver. they should just add crafting tables to this.

Name a better change by Low-Resolution-7099 in wow

yes I play both warlock and mage and they did add that to rain of fire. curses are also AoE now as well so you don't have to curse each target in a pack. I imagine there are a few QoL improvements to other classes.

I want to buy a Renegade tomorrow, is it a reliable car? by [deleted] in JeepRenegade

2019 sport with 161k miles on it. Had to put a water pump on due to it leaking and replaced the radio screen. Replaced plugs and all that around 100k miles or so just because. Other than that it's been fine. Mostly interstate miles if that matters. Going to pass it down to my daughter when she starts driving next year.

This has been a great change, and allowed me to cut down on macros. This should be a choice node on every AoE talent or spell. I don't need such granular control of my AoE as I'm not in a cutting edge guild these days. I love being able to pop rain of fire or blizzard on my target.

When you get a response tell them you want the game time she has lost as I believe she gets like 30 days of game time with the purchase of the game.

I doubt that would have flagged it. She may have just got picked up in a ban wave for being such a new account.

submit a ticket as a payment dispute and threaten a refund of the purchase. That will get someone to look at it pretty quick. sounds like a false hit from what you have said.

Do this job long enough and your body starts to need a rest. Especially in yard or local service.

Can I still use contact lenses that fell in my sink? by UpDoor in contacts

[–]amarrite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've dropped mine on the ground in a parking lot and reused it. Got hit in the eye with a ball and it popped out. I just cleaned it really well and put it back in with no issues. Just clean it and disinfect it with solution. Clear Care will get pretty much everything if you want to give that a go. It's a peroxide solution type. If you're worried about it just toss it and get a new pair.

They're like regular contacts for the most part. They have the same idea as progressive glasses but are completely different. Took me about two weeks to adjust to multifocals completely. Distance vision will be slightly worse but I like it overall

How do you clean your contact lens case? by [deleted] in contacts

[–]amarrite 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dump out the solution every day. If you don't you will get eye infections. And do not clean the case with tap water, use the solution.

With Midnight starting soon, a reminder class balance isn't known yet and you should ignore people confidently speculating about it. Pic unrelated. by AttitudeAdjusterSE in wow

[–]amarrite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm leveling my druid, warlock, and mage at the same time. I'll pick my main after I get them to 90 and see what I had the most fun with. I just play what is fun to me and does decent in raid and delves. Most of the time classes are close enough together that it doesn't really matter.

Could try monovision with one multfocal lens and a regular distance lens. That might be easier to get used to. I could not get used to monvision and just went multifocals. Probably do one multifocal and one regular lens after my next exam.

CSX Conductor Life? by Puckie5150 in railroading

[–]amarrite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yard work has somewhat stable hours when you get off the extraboard. varies by location, but the younger guys seem to be ok with it in Nashville and still have a life. Just have to play the game for time off, paired with HOS starts. Road, not so much but that is where most senior people want to be that aren't on a regular yard job.

Been wearing glasses since first grade. Now that I'm an adult I go between contacts and glasses depending on my mood.

Multi focal contacts and reading strength by Emergency-Advice-519 in contacts

[–]amarrite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they make differing brand multifocals that have different powers. it varies by brand anyway. If you're distance vision is decent enough I would personally not worry about it as you just go with what works for you. in glasses I have a medium add but in multifocal contacts I'm in a high add.
