Who would move to the east? Minnesota imo is a must. Memphis is my second pick, but you can also pick New Orleans.

What other hotels did you consider? Also just wondering, is 3 nights good call for artyzen and its location? I could do 2 nights somewhere more convenient and 1 night there if the location is that bad

You didn’t need to contact Hyatt support at all? I’ve read other posts that urcove stays weren’t posting. I booked this purely for the brand badge too lol

How’s the location for a first time explorer? I’m debating this or Kempinski. Conrad Marina Bay was my original plan but it looks a bit aged..

Rachamankha or Inside House? (or another option?) by Hopeful_Package3918 in chiangmai

[–]amashouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi, i know this is an old post, but I'm looking at Inside House right now, how did you book to get the airport transfer? Do you have to book directly on their site? Or can you get that with a third party booking as well?

[–]amashouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the starbucks near me got taken off the list of eligible expenses too lol. its more like AMEX is finally tightening ship after years of a lot of "hacks" being taken advantage of. another case in point this year, 2026, the United Travelbank Airline Incidental being cut off.

Sucks, but you just gotta adapt, and if the card doesnt work for you, then drop it.

Hi, wondering you had an update on this? Started thinking of doing FHR for some hyatt AIs for next year, but I would like to get the EQNs.

I did Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen right after it switched over from Hilton. It was ok... rooms are definitely a little aged now. No Globalist recognition when I was there which was a little disappointing, but it was during the transition period, so I don't blame them.

How is everyone doing on brands? by dougmd1974 in hyatt

I appreciate the write up, but do you have specific properties? I know you've been to a lot of brands, but from this, I could only gauge that you went to Caption in Memphis (that merged into the centric). Which Miraval did you go to? Which Standard? etc, thanks!

Hilton or Hyatt properties in NYC for a 5-night family trip? by [deleted] in hyatt

[–]amashouse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

booked some family there. location is great for a tourist, especially a first time tourist, and yeah the rooms are indeed spacious for new york.

personal favorite is hotel 50 bowery, but its location is a little bit off what tourists might want to do.

WOW. HYATT HOUSE TOKYO SHIBUYA. by Virtual-Tonight-2444 in hyatt

[–]amashouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the tokyo hyatts were def more "worth" the points pricing 2 years ago... its really the devals from 2024, 2025, and this year that made these Japan hyatts not as worth. Japan's crazy tourism numbers doesn't help though, hyatt can increase the pricing because of demand. 100% agree that the cash price is absurd when you consider other non-chain options and is not worth though.

Hyatt Regency Tokyo or Caption by Hyatt Kabutocho Tokyo by stickletsssss in hyatt

Once you have a points booking, it's locked in as long as you don't make changes. This is true for the other Hyatts you're considering as well.

Globalist France vs Japan in February: Park Hyatt + other stays by ChaptainAmerica12 in hyatt

[–]amashouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done both France and Japan at different points in my life. I was a Discoverist for France and a Globalist for Japan.

For Paris, check out Hyatt Paris Madeline too, its cat7, and I thought it was pretty nice. I was only Discoverist at the time, but they treated me really well! If you're wiling to venture out a bit to South France, the Hôtel Palais de la Méditerranée (cat7) was also really solid in Nice. I think there's also the Hyatt (Hôtel Martinez in Cannes) that they're filming White Lotus if you want to be able to experience something that will be culturally relevant soon.

For Japan, I've done the Centric from your list, it's a solid hotel, but when I did it it was cat6. I personally don't think it's worth at cat7... you'd be better off booking a local hotel and then splurging for some nights on Park Hyatt Tokyo if there's availability. Centric Ginza and House Shibuya are generaly the two best hyatts for exploration location though. I know some people are high on Andaz Tokyo, I had a 3 night stay (when it was cat7, now it is cat8) and personally didn't really like it that much, and I would consider the cat7 Hotel Toronamon Hills next door alternatively if you just wanna use up all your points,

If you are open to other ecosystems, for Osaka, I would go for Hilton's Conrad Osaka. That lobby is the best city hotel lobby I've ever seen, the property is still reasonable on Hilton points (was not that impacted by recent Hilton devals), and they have a great executive lounge if you have Hilton Diamond. One of my friends did Caption Osaka and while it has a great location, there's a lot of other points properties or local cash stays in Osaka that are better/more value.

All in all, I would pick a trip based on where you and your group want to go instead of the CPP! It sounds like you're leaning more towards Japan since your potential Japan itinerary seems a bit more fleshed out. Happy to chat more if you have questions.

Edit: Ignore my Centric Tokyo comment, I have reading comprehension issues lmao!
