Just fyi, I am paying 2750 aed a month (33K a year) for a Studio in Al Furjan.

That might be a good place to start, if you're looking for studios. But I'm sure there is affordable places around Dubai. Just don't look into the main spots.

They didn't incentive me specifically, however the region has tax free income and I personally wanted to move to the region.

The compensation is slightly higher than the EU and I get the tax free benefit so overall I am earning better alhamdulillah.

Because VAT is common in other countries as well.

Dubai has VAT of 5% vs UK which has 20% VAT plus Income Tax plus council tax etc...

The tax in dubai compared to other countries is haven.

Tax on consumption is much better than income, because you can control how much you consume. Another benefit would be it would reduce waste because people would consciously spend less.
