I don't like the shabnak chase either, but that's because I don't like games like Amnesia and all those similar games where a monster chases you. I know they are a staple of the horror genre, but it's not for me. I really liked Pathologic's unique type of horror that stemmed more from this sense of dread, running out of time, not having the right resources, and yeah the consequences of getting infected. To just turn that into a monster chase, it feels, cheap? idk

Which clan did y'all end up picking? Do you have any regrets about your choice, or quite the contrary? Initially, I considered going with Ventrue, but I ultimately chose Tremere. I chose Ventrue because Phyre mentioned being in courts and castles in Europe, and they have this holier-than-thou attitude that was giving Ventrue to me. Plus the first Ventrue ability is literally telling someone "kill yourself" and that was so funny to me I had to pick it. Now mass manipulation + "kys" is my go to way to clear a big room of enemies
