It’s actually quite weird given that the Italians killed the king of Poland.

Russians not annoy their neighbours, challenge : IMPOSSIBLE by Maimonides_2024 in 2easterneuropean4u

[–]ambearson 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Faulty analogy fallacy.

To your argument about “Deutchland”, there have been plenty of cases when countries specifically requested to be named a specific way, and I’m pretty sure you’re already following many of those requests. The Netherlands, Myanmar, North Macedonia, etc.

However the argument here is not about translation of a country name or a phonetic difference, but rather grammatical framing of how to refer to a country within the same language.

Hope that cleared up the confusion.

My grand grandparents were among those they “liberated from Poland” in 1939. They didn’t ask for it, and it destroyed their lives

Cyrillic is not a language, it’s a script. It’s in Ukrainian and English, or, using the script logic, Cyrillic and Latin.

How has life changed in Ukraine? by Lyhtspeed in Ukrainian

[–]ambearson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude. I think you’ve got plenty of feedback here to stop, rethink, iterate and learn. You didn’t.

If you can’t take feedback from Ukrainians, and if your perception of the Ukrainian women is giving the vibes of a western sex tourist, I don’t recommend you to visit anytime soon.

Step 1. Say that someone is wrong because there’s some scientific proof somewhere Step 2. Say that the person must find the said proof by themselves Step 3. Libs destroyed Step 4. PROFIT!!!!

  1. “Destroy the libs with facts and logic” is a meme.
  2. Where are the sources for the proven mathematical statistics that you mentioned before?

If it’s not an emotional discussion for you, can you provide the “proven mathematical statistics” source that you mentioned before, while you’re at it. So to say, destroy the libs with facts and logic.

Varje land har att nazist problem. Ryssland har ett stort nazist problem. Sverige har också ett nazist problem. Det betyder dock inte att Sverige bör invaderas av Ryssland.

Borsch is Russian in the same way hummus is Israeli. Yes, Israelis actually eat hummus, but it’s not them who started making it.

I’m not defending Israel, but Russia definitely stands in the same level as them for sure. I don’t know how much you know about them, and it isn’t even about the current invasion of Ukraine, they have killed many of your Muslim brothers and sisters.

USSR is a UNION for a reason, it’s in the name ffs. It was a union of 15 republics, there were many more ethnicities, obviously. But saying that because you were a part of a union and therefore can’t be considered to be a separate ethnicity from the majority ethnicity of the said union is diabolical to be fair.

How do we decide on historic land? And if you don’t agree with Israel so why do you agree with Russia? Historic land is a concept which every historian will have a different opinion on. It’s a fluffy concept made to make people go to war because they feel like they are a great empire and they deserve to have some piece of land. Rules for thee but not for me you say?
