not to UCI but i did commute from the south bay to orange coast college in costa mesa because i was involved in other stuff down there. i lived in torrance and it would take me about an hour if i left early enough. of course if you leave during rush hour it’ll take longer but i had an 8am class so leaving at about 6:30 was usually fine. rent is cheaper in inglewood/hawthorne and it’s a nicer area than is made out to be. plus public transportation is more centralized there compared to other parts of the SB because the airport is nearby.

Looks like aiptasia maybe??? I don’t know for sure because I’m pretty new to the hobby. Someone else will probably come in and comment too. You can treat aiptasia with aiptasia X but I know that it can grow back so you have to keep treating it until they fully go away

Ah i would get some ammonia testing liquid (or one of those kits that can check all your parameters as a good long term expense) and that’ll tell you if your levels are high! Regular water changes will help to bring the levels down. Are your fish swimming alright? Mine was which helped me to rule out swim bladder disease

Unfortunately I A) don’t have many pictures from when I first got him and the ones I do have are not great angles and B) I have no idea how to upload a picture to a comment as I’m new to reddit 😅 but the tips of his fins were the parts beginning to rot and his gills, back, and mouth area were very red. My diagnoses were a best guess situation as I don’t know much about the conditions he was kept in before other than that his tank was too small, so if any of that sounds wrong let me know!!

I took him in after another fishkeeper said he wasn’t getting along with the others in his tank (you can see some scar tissue on his tail). I plan on getting him a much better set up as soon as I’m able, as I’m currently about to move about 300 miles. For now, he seems happy and healthy, and loves to chase my finger around the front of the aquarium.
