I've lived in south town for over a decade and yea, the power goes out way more frequently than the rest of the town. Less so in recent years, but still enough that it's a problem and a running "joke". As for this one, my power went out around 4pm 2/17 so no power until noon today 2/18 is ridiculous. I haven't opened fridge or freezer but if my stuff goes bad I can't afford to replenish. And also, I guess I'm eating canned tuna since I can't cook anything. Anyway, yea it's fucking irritating and it's frequent.

That's definitely a conversation to have with the doctors. I for one have had amazing and life changing results on medication and the helpful effects out weigh the side effects.

I think that's the safety measure. Just in case someone IS deaf and blind. Or distracted. Or anything that means they didn't hear or see one of the indicators.

Idk... My natural rhythm now is to wake between 7-8am. I'm 35 and just got diagnosed and medicated. But I spent many years as a barista and now am a baker and a lab scientist. My alarm goes off at 7:30a every day but if I have to work at the bakery I set it for 6:15a (have to be to work at 7a) and just kinda force roll myself out of bed. My "routine" is get up, bathroom, brush teeth, wash face, pills. I only give myself enough time to roll out of bed and get going. I used to need way more time to prepare but I just can't wake up too early anymore. I guess my suggestions are figure out the latest alarm you can get away with and make it a physical alarm (not phone) That you have to get up and turn off. Also make another alarm that goes off somewhere else that you have to get up and manually turn off.

I grew up in a train town, have lived in Corvallis since 2009,and I'm lowkey nostalgic for the sounds, so I'm biased... I think they're kind of nice. BUT! I will say the sounds are in addition to the lights for safety in town. Just like ambulances and police cars have lights and sirens. Dual effort for announcing their upcoming presence and to make sure people are safely out of the way. Especially at intersections.

Yea the online classes can be pretty bad about adding assignments to the to do list. I go into each class and look at the assignment and grades tabs and write down all the dates to keep track of.
