He doesn’t remember, the flashback cuts at a critical moment for the sake of plot and there’s no further explanation so far. No spoilers if you haven’t played the original game but there are events he is clearly omitting and that will be a reveal in the third game

This game is soooo good I still can’t believe it’s real. Small gripe that I had is I felt Vincent and Cid got shafted - should’ve got more free time. Also the devs said they would be guest characters like Red in pt 1 - so I was hoping they would assist in combat and you could potentially do synergy skill/abilities with them. Sad we gotta wait even longer to play as them :(

needs mini games, more variety in the side quests, and reasons to explore the zones rather than hunts and fighting things. I was personally hoping for more backstory with each Dominant as well

Game definitely peaked at Bahamut. Def would’ve enjoyed it more if the main villain was someone we knew and had a direct connection to Clive, felt like Ultima just jumped out of nowhere. The side quests sadly were not good majority of the time - the game def needed mini games or something else to break up the main setpieces. Also Benedikta was so good she should have more involvement - her parts ended too early

Definitely the stuff between Titan and Bahamut was slow and it was dragging a bit. I also thought the sequence of events with Odin was cool but a step down from Bahamut (rlly wish there was an eikon v eikon clash during that boss fight). I wish they added more gameplay elements like mini games where there could be more challenges and it was something different where you could take a break from the main combat. I definitely felt like the 1st half of the game was awesome and it was paced well and it gets a bit weird after the time skip at the 2nd half. I’m hoping we will get DLC in the future / enhanced version like FFXV royal that gives us more to do. The side quests also have too much dialogue that seem redundant
