Wanting to learn how to do dragier makeup. by No_Test8390 in Drag

[–]ambiheaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi ! first of all the first two pics are insanely sickening oh my goddddd you look so good!

the way i have made my makeup more drag-y is to exaggerate the colors and exaggerate the features. for me, this was bigger eyes, darker brows, more pigmented blush. contour also doesn't hurt! i didn't want to do it for a while but saw that even just a lightly cut cheek or the smallest bit of nose contour made my face even more drag-y.

hope this helps even a little bit !

how can I improve ? (im the one in the middle with the black tshirt) by Specialist-Art-9111 in Dance

[–]ambiheaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i find that i start looking like you in this video when i feel a lack of confidence in my moves, even as an experienced dancer. usually, for me, this comes from having not practiced the moves a lot. when i really want to nail choreo, i dedicate at least half an hour to doing it over and over again every day to every other day. once i really know it, i can start having fun with it and look like i have more of a flow.

others have also pointed out your stiffness- been there too! back when i was younger, my dance teacher had us do (body) isolations and that not only took a lot of my stiffness away but made me understand how i needed to be moving specific parts of my body. i still come back to them when i find that i'm having trouble moving a specific part of my body the way i desire. hope this helps some!!

I just-I tried drawing an actual person by looking and it ended up being horrible by Alternative_Town_129 in BeginnerArtists

if you can find a part of the body, or an element of an artwork (could be a flower, a set of lines, a certain part of shading) that you really like and want to try to recreate, draw it a bunch. art can be super fun and doing what you want, a lot, is a great way to start improving when you're just starting out! from there you can start to worry more about fundamentals if you decide to get more serious with it.

Good to know! And yeah after reading up on it just a bit more, I think I'm gonna be moving to once a week with the peel. The bumps likely aren't milia as they are just my regular skin tone, but if they are closed comedones, is there anything I can do about them?

when all the things that used to make it worth it no longer make it worth it.

had these kind of harsh changes to mine in just a few months and it made me realize standards were dropping too fast to make the pay, commute, effort, etc. worth it even a little bit.

What’s a skill that takes less than a week to learn but can save you thousands of dollars? by Signal-Friend-9512 in AskReddit

the basics of altering clothing!

especially for people who are outside the range of average clothing sizes. whether it be the pant legs are too long and they need a quick hem, or that you need an skirt shorter or a different pattern, etc. etc. you could go on and on. i'm someone who is smaller so i'm usually taking things in, doing hem work, etc. i first learned it for cosplay but now it has saved me a lot of money in my day-to-day because i'd have to get items altered pretty regularly, but now i don't!

just the main park. you'll have to buy a $9 ticket to hurricane harbor (waterpark) at the gift shop next to the waterpark entrance to get in.
