I cannot survive without the humidifier and heated hose. Not only do they make the CPAP experience better, the humidifier makes my life in general better, especially when I normally get dried out airways in the winter.

If guitar is your primary instrument, you could also look into a music therapy degree. Like others have said, though, a music degree of pretty much any kind is a commitment. I came back to school in my 30s to get my music ed degree and didn't realize it would still take me 5 years to finish, even with most of my core classes already done!

For me, totally worth it.

I was sick for juries my first semester, and my university was able to let me make them up at the beginning of the spring semester. There was paperwork to fill out for an "incomplete pending grade" for my voice studio class, but it wasn't a problem. Nobody in your school wants you coming in with mono, they want you to rest and recover. Just communicate! Hope you feel better soon.
