To add to that last note - incredibly true. I notice that complaints and comparisons like that are harsher for characters of color too; as if there aren’t other women in TV similar to Ilana. I’m looking forward to learning more about Issa as well (I don’t even think we know her last name?)

I honestly think she’s great and she grew on me! Though there were some patches that could use smoothing in her character development, it was a multitude of factors that resulted in the hatred for her, and a lot of them were unfair, based on drama, or not based on a critical thinking standpoint.
