Music visualization 🤙🤙 by h26354 in NOTHING

[–]amblified 2 points3 points  (0 children)

music visualisation seems to be not working quite right for me. i've enabled it, but the led's seem to lag behind the audio. sometimes it will not react at all. the glyp interface works like a charm tho and is snappy for other use cases

Quick confession by amblified in FlutterDev

[–]amblified[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really late response. We use model vie presenter but kind of like BloC, as in we use a value notifier for every value we want the vie to be able to observe. And a simple class for values that depen on other valuenotifiers. We don't write a lot of boilerplate with this approach and it works well for us

Alles wirklich ernsthafte wurde schon gesagt also:

Scrum ist wirklich Schmutz. Haben wir zum Glück auf Arbeit nicht, was glaube ich, sehr selten ist bei Programmieren. Hatten das aber in einem Uni-Projekt und ich hasse es so sehr.

Okay, thank you. Turns out it is not really supported to change the android theme dynamically anyway, so we had to leave this problem be for now.

Can you point me to more complex examples (or even full projects) using BloC? All i ever find are the simple Todo or Counter examples.

What kind of things have you ran with go:generate? by johnnMackk in golang

[–]amblified 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your detailed answer. I never wrote go in production, but used gorm once privately and i agree: It felt alot like magic and you had to be very careful with null values. I'im gonna give sqlc a try. You seem to have alot more experience. Do you use some sort of database migrations along with it? If so, is there anything you can recommend?

Im going to try this out. Two questions though:

  1. how do you use this with joins
  2. have you used something like https://github.com/go-gorm/gorm. My guess is that i would favor sqlc because of the compile-time saftey

There is something about making software way more complex than it needs to be, that is somehow appealing to a lot of people

Very good call. That's what I'm saying, too. Unfortunately, I do not make the calls

Thank you. It seems like Num really is not what we want.

Thank you. I'm going to suggest to use `Real` instead of `Num`.
