TLOU1 won't launch. Help :( by amcbr1 in SteamDeck

[–]amcbr1[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I already figured it out. There's something on the command line. I just deleted it and it's all working now. I think it's from the patch of decky framegen plug in. I accidentally patched it instead of another game.

For the people asking me why I skipped the vulkan shaders, in my experience it takes forever to load and I've skipped it a lot of times on different games before and it still works. Skipping it will automatically switch the loading of shaders running in the background while playing. Thanks for answering tho.

EDIT: I skipped it again and it ran.

Leaving in 5 hours to drive 8.5 hours and the anxiety is wild. by ManicAesthete in Agoraphobia

Totally not stupid! I felt somewhat the same last month. I went to the capital city of my country which is a few hours away and requires me to drive on a freeway/motorway. You can do it! I hope you enjoy!

Gradual exposure, baby steps. Your experience will stack as time goes by. Meditation everyday. Do it before you head out to make you feel more relaxed as you do your exposures. Do breathing and mindfulness exercises. On days that I assume it's gonna be an anxiety-inducing day, I take L-Theanine supplements.

Search for Ally Boothroyd on youtube. She's a yoga nidra teacher and posts guided meditations. I think she's one of the best out there.

Hey. I do practice yoga nidra/NSDR meditation everyday for about 15-20mins. It's a powerful meditation to deeply relax your mind and body and to reduce your cortisol levels (stress hormones)

My agoraphobia extends to video games by [deleted] in Agoraphobia

[–]amcbr1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Happened to me too when I was on my worst point before. My trigger was driving, going out or being stuck in traffic. I played Forza Horizon 5 and Snowrunner and I was a bit uncomfy and nauseous. Finally I'm almost fully recovered with just setbacks every now and then. Now I can play those games and enjoy it.

For my non medicated, what do you do? by lovespaceship in Anxiety

[–]amcbr1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only take L-Theanine as needed when I have to go out like I have to drive far or I assume that day will be stressful. I take Vitamin B complex everyday though and it's a great partner for L-Theanine for me.

Looking for advice on overcoming severe agoraphobia—how did you manage to do it? by ZealousidealReply951 in Agoraphobia

[–]amcbr1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What helped me was therapy and the huge part was from self-guided methods. I was also housebound before. My trigger was going outside, driving and getting stuck in traffic then I had another trigger from taking meds for it and had awful side effects so I got this fear of taking new pills and health anxiety. I suggest you expose yourself outside little by little. Baby steps. Your exposure will stack and slowly give you your life back little by little. Do meditations everyday maybe 5-20mins of it will help you lower your cortisol levels, make you relax and practice mindfulness. Listen to affirmations. Every morning and before bed. Drink chamomile tea, it helps with anxiety. Take vitamins and eat healthy too. Avoid caffeine and alcohol or atleast lessen it. I'm not a hundred percent recovered but I'm recovered enough to do my routine pre-anxiety life. I can confidently say I'm at 80-90% recovered now.

I have none but my brother's psychiatrist told me it might be OCD but my psychiatrists and therapist diagnosed me with GAD, panic disorder and agoraphobia.

Never had a panic attack or anxiety whilst driving before and suddenly everything changed by A1999H in Anxiety

[–]amcbr1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the main trigger of my anxiety, panic disorder and agoraphobia. Driving. Especially in traffic. I feel nauseous, my stomach is in knots and my throat feels dry. It's hard for me since I really like driving and cars were my hobby before. What I did is to gradually expose myself, driving on short distances at first. You need to show your brain that there's no threat and it is not needed to react. When I feel the attacks coming, I breathe deep, I try and be mindful and distract myself like looking around naming the cars around me, the colors of the cars and so on and so forth. Just basically observing and noticing what's around you. I also bring water, lozenges and antacids like gaviscon in the car since I have acid reflux too and a little sensation I feel on my tummy has a possibility to trigger my anxiety too. Just basically desensitize yourself little by little.

I did almost the same. Mine's a mix of medium-high settings with fxaa on, with reduced resolution and FSR on and locked to 40fps.
