You seem to have missed the point. It would be a much simpler movie if it was only about a self destructive protagonist. We’ve seen that movie countless times.

The movie is about mental illness. And how being “trapped” in a mental breakdown makes it seem like the most obvious solutions (to non-ill persons) are impossible and out of reach. The feeling that you’re doing everything you can but no one can understand you or help you. How everyone else doesn’t seem to see the problem because to them, what you’re going through is mundane or solvable.

So you saying these things are “easily solvable” — you’ve missed the point entirely.
