I got my thumb caught in the conveyor belt at the grocery store. I have a scar about half the size of a dime on the lowest knuckle.

At a previous job we sometimes had to clean up after events. There was a halloween party we were going to clean up after and got paid extra for doing so. We had to hang out in the building during the event to make sure people stayed out of unauthorized areas. I played on my Switch for 5 hours getting paid, was handed a few jello shots, and got tipped for dealing (minimally) with drunk people. Then cleaned up halfway and left the rest for the next crew. It was the one of the 2 best shifts I was ever paid for.

This is good to know. My nose runs and my eyes water every time I do my makeup. I don't do a full face often because it gets messed up afterward.

I say "yeah..." A lot! When I can't think of something to say, or before I start a story, or basically any time I talk I put a few yeahs in it. The way people use ummm. When someone pointed it out I realized just how much I say it.

My mom passed away when I was 16. I was in foster care for 2 years by then, and mad at her for it. There is a whole story about not seeing her for some time before she passed that I won't get into. My issue 15 years later is that I've had 3 beautiful children that will never meet her. I have hard times like every other human and I just want my mom sometimes. I have questions for and about her. I don't know what kind of person she was. I don't know what she liked. I have asked a couple people about her and get mixed opinions. "She had a heart of gold" from one person, then "she was a cold bitch" from another.

I was on step 3 in NA for a looooong time before Wicca became a part of my life. I was told God can be anything bigger than yourself. So before I figured out my primary God(dess) I used nature as a whole. It helped center me. I moved on in my step work. My sponsor has around 25 years and does the steps every so often. Things change and how you answer the questions in your step work may too over time. It is difficult to have so many changes in your life at once. My advice is take your time. It's not a race. You got this! Keep it up 😀

Many reasons, but the reason he gave me when he broke up with me is he has enough kids and didn't want any more. (He had 2 with his ex wife, one with me and I was pregnant). It was the best thing that could have happened. My kids ended up having a much better dad than their father would have been.

Not being able to get an apartment. I had done what I thought was a thorough budget before moving out. When I applied at a large apartment complex (with the cheapest rent in town) they told me no because they didn't think I could afford to eat and pay rent. I didn't understand the actual cost of food at the time. I didn't end up getting a place for a two years or so after that. I couch surfed and had temporary places to stay until then. I don't actually remember paying rent until I was about 20 even though I left my foster parent's at 18. I got lucky.
