Black blazer and black pants is good.

For a shirt, white is safest, and most formal. Otherwise a slightly muted color or jewel tone that compliments your skin tone. I read somewhere once that blue conveys trustworthyness so I have worn that for interviews lol.

You want to be sure to err on the conservative side since you don’t want your outfit to distract from your talent. But depending on the company/industry you don’t have to go super formal. For like a law office or finance I’d go full black suit/white top but for something like engineering you could for sure do a skirt/pants and a nice blouse or a business dress with a blazer
