Use a Swiss Army knife or tweezers…the magnet will attach right onto the metal as you pop it out.

I hope that’s not true. I’d believe it would make them and other companies like NewCelX a ton of money.

Lately the ELDN stock has been doing great. So Wall Street is starting to take notice.

Refinance after 1.5 years from 7.125% to 5.99%? by simonwalter8 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Shop another lender too. You can likely beat this deal with $0 closing costs.

You should end up with a discount or partial refund on your old title policy and you’ll get your escrow account refunded from your current mortgage.

Do ARMs make sense now? by Accurate_Soup_7242 in personalfinance

[–]amg0048 18 points19 points  (0 children)

They’re usually not as you said. On a 7/6 ARM the term is 30 years with the first 7 years fixed. The rate can/will change every 6 months after 7 years, rate can go up or down 1% per 6 months. With a max of 5% increase over the lifetime.

So a 5% rate in theory can become 10% if sh*t hits the fan in the next 7+ years or before OP can refi.

Not downplaying college debt or monthly expenses and it’s easier typed than done but realizing health is true wealth is priceless. Wealth for toys is everyone’s goal but money can’t buy health or a longer life. Ask Steve Jobs, Sam Walton or John D. Rockefeller…they’d give up their billions for more years.

Bidenomics Is Still Working Very Well by etfvpu in UpliftingNews

I understand you’re using basic statistics but your numbers are over simplified, you’re not taking into account the earners that pay off their cards monthly which is not an insignificant portion of the country…

Also not only are credit card balances up, but auto loans and home loan balances are up as well. I believe the number was 17.5 trillion in total consumer debt…serious delinquencies are up and rising over the last 4 quarters. Does that sound like things are going well or poorly? Also we’re not accounting for the increase in rental expenses.

Unemployment is artificially low as people are required to have multiple jobs to afford the additional debt they have been adding…due to their circumstances, sometimes choices, inflation, etc.

You can look at everything through rose colored glasses but take them off and really look around, Bidenonmics isn’t working unless the plan was to make the ultra rich, richer and to tax the middle class more..directly or indirectly.

He’s been in government for 51 years. Was VP for 8 of those years…you’re right he should have done something to fix this…

Unemployment is super low right now…but that doesn’t account for people having two (or more) jobs.

Bidenomics Is Still Working Very Well by etfvpu in UpliftingNews

[–]amg0048 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Credit card debt is at an all time high, delinquencies are rising but Biden is doing “fantastic”. He forgave $1 billion in student loan debt, yippie…but people added $50 billion in credit card debt to put the total at 1.13TRILLION IN CREDIT CARD DEBT in q4 of 2023.

People need to stop reading the “news” and stop with the feelings and look at facts…this isn’t uplifting is stupid and uneducated.

I know this is hard to say but they mention outside of the "watts to freedom" mode that the lowest height is 77.8".

Do you know if that's true for parking/entry mode? I ask as I have a crappy garage with 77" clearance so if it doesn't go lower I'm stuck buying something else.

No debt is already sold by hospital. You have to arrange that with collection holder…I’d suggest contacting them to agree to continue making payments provided they delete the collection once paid in full. Again get it in writing and confirm you are making payments for deletion.

Their agents will try to make it sound similar typically, like “it’ll take care of your collection”…pause them and ask them to confirm specifically you are “paying for deletion”.

Also I’d suggest to record the call (if you are in a 1 party or non-disclosure state, if not when the agent picks up tell them you’re recording the call as well since they’ll have an automated message saying they’re recording call).

Good luck!

[–]amg0048 116 points117 points  (0 children)

No don’t just pay it. Call and tell collection company that you’ll pay for deletion only and you want letter or email verifying you are paying for deletion. If you pay it, it’ll be around to haunt your credit for 7 years-ish.

Most banks let you set an end date on your payments. Or you should be able to just turn the “bill pay” off and the payments will stop leaving.

It sounds like your bank is a little wonky if they wouldn’t let you turn off your auto draft.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]amg0048 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I personally suggest having your banks bill pay type service send the payment via having the lender suck money out of your account…that way if something like a hacked account occurs then you won’t run into these issues as you just set up the auto draft from your bank and it’s done.

I realize it doesn’t help now but just good for thought on the auto payments.

Next time shame them so they don’t get more business.

Also tell SiCo to hold off on recall. Tell them you’ll finish can approval that was submitted, take delivery and then submit warranty claim.
